@@CCAndPinkie It makes sense that the term could be used, since not every videogame-inspired metal song has to do with the classic Nintendo aesthetic. Gonna look that song up, thanks!
Dude the song is so good, I dig it! I seriously thought Rubeus and the Hagrids was your best spin-off. But this, man, this is awesome! Please please please, an album, please???
If you want a good start some of my favorites are: Starcutter, Heptaedium, Unicorn Hole, She wants the D-Pad, Polygon Horizon, A Challenger Approaches, etc. There's a small but tight nit community of nintendocore artists to this day that releases a lot of cool music. 🙂
Some of the bands he listed in the video are spectacular! Check out Heptaedium, Unicorn Hole, Starcutter, Zorldo Kang, etc. There's a lot of good new nintendocore bands. ❤
A few years ago, I had a hipster friend who was trying to become a nintendocore DJ and producer. I always thought the genre was basically something from his imagination, but apparently, it's a real genre, and it slaps fucking hard.
Andri, you realize this is going to singlehandedly bring this genre back, right? Like, just how hundreds of people who probably never knew about Noisecore know it now because of you. Also, obligatory genre suggestion, Emoviolence.
@@K0sm1cKid It's more of a general subtle thing that I'm seeing as I surf the internet. But this vid could kick it off. Check it m.soundcloud.com/rahmemhotep/cloud-cutting I know that I have recently have had a sudden urge to be listening to Ncore and then this dude made a vid and a bunch of people are commenting positively like this was already in the works. I don't know, but I'm already writing songs. I know you were on Ncore lives, maybe the time is coming for a revival of sorts lol.
@@K0sm1cKid Here, finished one with screaming vox: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F_jo2Tnkgms.html Also, man IDK why they got rid of the private message system on youtube all those years ago. Like that was how I got in contact with people. Oh well.
Wow. This one is kinda the best thing Andri's ever done. He said he might start doing this unironically, and it definitely shows that he genuinely enjoyed himself.
Like I said before, I am going to be taking this for granted and get on my Nintendocore project, even if the advise is about as informative as a GameFAQs for a game no one likes! I'll just...get into it...later...I guess.
Thank you for making this small genre accessible for more people, we are a tiny but active and nice community and want to get the genre to a more serious level, so we are always happy to welcome new artists and fans!
I’ve been getting into nintendocore recently and it’s one of my favorite genres, maybe one day if I get the motivation and I’m still interested in it I’ll make my own XD
Did not expect to cry while watching a How to make Nintendocore video, but the lyrics in that duet-bridge kinda hit home. Thanks man, consider me subbed.
Putrid Abomination You could try MEGADRIVER. They get a little power metally sometimes, but they thrash out some great classics. Gods of Metal praise Brazil!
Never heard of you honestly - but this song came up on my spotify recommended playlist and it's AMAZING! Wow... never even heard of nintendocore but this was funny. And your idea of a meme song destroys all the other serious bands trying to do this. Keep it up Andri.
Id totally pay for a full pagefire nintendocore album. The vocalists on this track merged perfectly in my opinion and I listen to this song on my hour long bus ride to school every morning so I think that truly speaks to how great of an idea a full Nintendocore album would be
Man, I have no idea who you are, or why your video was recommended to me, but holy fuck I loved everything about this video, from top to bottom. Automatically subscribed
Meanwhile in Japan independent metal artists like Thousand Leaves, Undead Corporation, and early and some later Unlucky Morpheus create various awesome metal music to celebrate Touhou project shooter games.
Never heard of nintendocore but I actually think it sounds pretty cool :D.. Also if I ever make nintendocore I will name my band "Jim sterling and the slaughtering grounds"
Without all of the intro, I might not even realize this was a subgenre of anything (of course the breakdown on the Super Mario level one kind of gives it away). This is great!
Okay HOLY FUCKING HERETIC SHIT!!!! I am used to your songs being that kind of platinum shitposts that end up extreme bangers, but even for you this somehow sticks out to me. I don't like that Genre but what you created is pure awesome. I am simply happy to be able to witness someone make an entire AWESOME album only resolving around Hagrid AND THEN THIS. All of you who took part in those projects, thank you. I am eager to see what else I have the honour of witnessing.
I guess third time‘s the charm haha also a question: have you thought about reviewing music the audience has created thanks to your channel? edit: just finished watching the video. the song is actually fucking amazing, like no joke, thats some REALLY good shit!
had to watch this again after the nekonomicon announcement. one thing i don't think i mentioned on the first watch back in the day was how impressive ms. brielle's growling was, a true treasure. best of luck with the new band mr. andri.
Writing a Nintendocore song that's also a subtle take down of the toxic / conservative elements of gamer culture (while also mocking predatory loot boxes) is genuinely quite clever.
Is it only me or is the chorus a reference to zelda breath of the wild with the hole heroes are dead (champions are dead) enemy's in control (ganon duh) and the whole memory loss and a brand new world (100 years in the shrine of ressurections)
I've never played Breath of the Wild, but I like your interpretation. I just thought that "heroes are dead, enemies are in power" was a common theme in video games.
I came here for a quick laugh, and you hit me with a song that ABSOLUTELY SLAPS!!! I don't know what inspired you to go this hard, but I've got goosebumps my dude!
The goal was to make the best Nintendocore song over all the other Nintendocore bands. Then see if I could resurrect a dead genre my making the song better than my previous work. That was one of the goals, I think I got lost on the way. - Andri
@@Pagefire You're pretty proud of yourself, huh? You showed some N-Core Lives album covers but didn't play anything from them because it's all as good as or better than your song. We'd be happy to have you, but don't act like we need you. :p
Shit man, I'd been making Nintendocore for years, and you learned about NxC in the course of a month or so and made a Nintendocore song better than I ever had. Was also real happy to see an album I was a part of in here (I am Proto Buster, and had a track on the N-Core Lives' Super Smash Bros compilation album)
I've watched so many of your videos and you constantly knock it out of the park on these "How To" videos. This is so good. I've gotta relisten to Mechanical Hand now. This is such a banger though. Geez. 420/69
Ummm Actually the music just produced by Pagefire is pretty Epic Heavy. Quite insightful lyrics. I knew before it started it would end "you go to hell before you die". I was waiting for it.
Rad track! Some pretty funny commentary too. Disappointed to see you in the comments talking about making "the best song" in this "dead genre" though. You only played old Myspace era stuff in your video- nothing from some of the newer albums you showed that easily sound as good as your track.
Having a background in grindcore, metalcore and being a chipbreak dj I never liked nintedocore but I must admit that a talented musician can make a track in any genre that even a picky person like me will love. This is the case ♥️
I recommend She Wants The D-Pad and Starcutter, two very good modern nintendocore projects with great guitar players. She Wants The D-Pad uses lsdj as well. 🙂
