This is a super easy yet delicious dessert. I made it in under 10 minutes and my kids loved it! Find the printable recipe here: www.sixsistersstuff.com/2013/0...
If you use a rubber spatula and bring the pudding up from the bottom and fold it into the dream whip you will find it much easier and you won't loose so much of the flluffiness.
This is one of my favorite desserts! I love watching you Kristin and I'm really glad you haven't let these Negative Nellies deter you from making the videos. I love your sense of humor and sweet disposition. This is the first solo video of yours that shows up on RU-vid and I think you did a great job!
Wow! This totally made my day! I am so glad that you enjoy the videos, thank you for the support and thank you for watching! Have an awesome rest of your day!
@@SixSistersStuff I'm glad. Your video got me thinking about this dessert and I had everything except the frosting, so I made it with a homemade frosting. It's so good!
I don't think theses were Negative Nellies as much as constructive criticism....it would be better to appreciate input from more experienced cooks that to act like you're being victimized...learn to be gracious with some grace...
I made this to take to a cookout and it was a hit ! I let the pudding set up for an hour before folding cool whip in , it was smooth yet fluffy , it was 90 + degrees yesterday . everyone was welcoming of the coolness yet richness of the desert! By the way , my take on your *folding* it in was hilarious ! 😉 Good work !
I love to make desserts from scratch, but this is a nice option. I am very surprised at the remarks I read here and hope you will post more for those of us who DO appreciate what you've shared. thanks again! ☺
@@crystalbrowning8055 Sounds like you need to take your own advice. Stop letting what random people say in the comment section get you all prissy. It's not a good look. You just make youself look like an unpleasant individual. Possibly unstable.
Yummy! I think you did a great job! You were under a time constraint doing the video, so, you mixed the milk/pudding/cool whip real fast. You got the job done!! I will make this tomorrow for a family gathering and I'm preparing everything by myself, so, this recipe will fit into MY TIME CONSTRAINTS.
"kind of fold it in together" Then she proceeds to beat it like crazy. Lol😁 that was cute! Great old tried and true recipe. Just like grandma use to make! Before instant pudding was available, and the pudding was cooked.
You did a great job overall but when you said to fold in the whip cream you were usin a whisk which kind kind Of deflate the cream, wouldn't a spatula worked better?
I just watched your new video of dump and go... clicked this link. Super funny and the comments are priceless 🤣🤣 your channel came a far way! Thanks for the laugh.
Even tho I was translating everything to organic and home made; I really enjoyed watching you make this delicious dessert. You are fun to watch and I wish you well.
I've made this numerous times before. I can't stand instant pudding. Either I use the cook and serve version vanilla pudding or make my own. Takes a little more time but well worth the extra effort. I never used icing. I just make a simple ganache in the microwave and pour over top. These two alterations will greatly increase the taste.
Love this recipe! I have made this for years. Never have used cooking spray before nor have I ever let the pudding set before mixing in the cool whip... but to each their own. Bet it still tastes great!
It's so cute watching this today and seeing how much more comfortable you are with a camera now. God bless you and your sisters for all the help through the years with yummy meals.
You’re awesome! I love your recipes & just subscribed 😋 Positive vibes only folks! Just a little reminder to treat people how you’d like to be treated!
I love store bought icing too! This is the PERFECT recipe for a busy mom. I have been saving this recipe in my arsenal for a while now. Finally made it today & it's sitting up in the fridge. It was so easy & my family is going to love it. Thanks for posting. ;-)
I'm so glad we share the same love of store bought icing! Couldn't agree more, this is perfect for those super busy days! Hope your family enjoyed! Thanks Melinda Longoria :)
Yes, this was delicious! I will make this again & again for our family. Thank you again. ;-) Actually, it was so good that I caught my three year old sneaking into the fridge & digging straight into the dessert with his fingers. He had chocolate all over his face.
Made this yesterday so good . But I forgot to get the frosting instead I melted a bad of chocolate chip added so butter and milk to them to thin it out a bit. Everyone likes it thank you.
Yeah I assumed so cuz she put the whole container of frosting! But everything else was Fat Free or light?? Haha I do a couple of dessert hacks using pudding, and I found it too sweet so I started using sugar free pudding, and it balances so well! I would also put a thin layer of frosting. Hope this helps 😊😊😊
Some people just troll around these sites looking for reasons to make snotty comments. If they could cook they’d have their own cooking videos instead of sitting behind a keyboard criticizing others.
What a completely untrue statement. You can be good at something and never get the opportunity to put it out there for others. Many people are wonderful singers and never get record deals, many people are great artists but never sell a single painting. Other people being twats isn't an excuse to say ignorant things yourself.
I made this all the time, in High School.....one tip...use a rubber spatula to fold the Cool Whip/pudding...it's easier....whatever, this is a tasty dessert on a hot day.
I've been making that dessert for about 40 years, and I do fold in the Cool Whip, and I make more layers and if you don't want icing on top you can use a can of Comstock cherries or blueberries just as good I call it icebox cake
That's why she was able to "pour" the pudding mixture. Since she beat it so aggresively, she incorporated too much air. When you "fold", you use a rubber spatula & literally told the whipped topping over & under with the other ingredients, & keep repeating that technique until it's all incorporated. I found it interesting that she didn't bring it back out after chilling it, to show what the finished product looked like. I have a suspicion that it was rather runny. I've made this dessert myself & I followed the correct method for folding & it looked great & tasted great. Her error wouldn't affect the tsste, but definitely the presentation.
Fireballplay29 well the people who actually cook care since it’s saying one thing and doing another. It all adds up to a different texture and feel over the overall food. Imagine saying “put one egg in” then actually putting in two. While it doesn’t fully ruin the overall item, it’s not as good as it should be.
@@ZBTFilms " Imagine saying “put one egg in” then actually putting in two. While it doesn’t fully ruin the overall item, it’s not as good as it should be." Unless you prank-hide those eggs in someone's slippers. Then two eggs is definitely going to be better. LOL
