Hell yeah! I used this pie crust recipe for my pecan pie. Baked it in my Webber kettle using indirect heat 'n' pecan wood chips. The crust/pie came out awesome. Family loved it.
This is an easy dough to work with, it’s soft and silky, no worries about this dough being difficult to work with , no problems rolling it out. The taste is delicious and no you don’t taste the sour cream😃 great recipe
This recipe is fantastic, it has been my go to for years. I have tried more than half of your recipes and all of them turned out as you said they would. They are easy to follow along with, the concept is easy to understand and I really appreciate all the effort you put into your recipes. When I want to cook something I will search if you have made it before and follow your recipe. Keep up the great work, much appreciated. I have had a love hate relationship with pie crust. Your recipe is amazing. No more. Your recipe is so easy to make, roll out and is delicious. No more hesitating for me when I need a pie crust. I have even tripled the recipe and no problems. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
I'm going to give your recipe a go, for years now i have been struggling with either rock hard pie crusts or soggy bottom pies, this looks much better, fingers crossed, and I tried your puff pastry, really good, that's what brought me to your pie crust... Thanks..
I watched this right after the apple pie video. In that video I noticed how you had worn the writing of the name of your processor considerably. Now I see it looking almost new. lol I'd say that is a good advertisement for that food processor! You do make this look easy. I definitely am going to give this a try. 🙂

Any substitute for the sour cream? Sour cream is an ingredient that is never in my fridge. And no food processor...do I stand a chance with a hand mixer?
I like this recipe I have made it several times now, couldn't I make pop tarts with this recipe? Looking at vids on youtube , this looks like it would make a nice pop tart dough there is only a slight difference between your dough recipe an others. The filling is not a problem, I would like to make them and freeze them then bake as required.
