Rhubarb anything is good. We look forward to having it every year. I was told it's a northern thing by a kid that moved here that grew up in one of the southern states. I also made a pan of rhubarb for some people that were from South of Mexico. They loved it and I got a clean empty pan back. They told me it was better then the raw stuff that I gave them to try. We all got a laugh from that as rhubarb is sour and needs a sweetness added to it.
LeAnne, i already know your bread is awesome, and I’ve never tried Rhubarb anything but if you made it, i know it’s good. Thanks for never disappointing us in the kitchen.
Before I moved up here, I planted rhubarb but it did not grow. I want to try again. I remember my aunt's rhubarb strawberry pie. Thank you for sharing this how-to.
I just started growing my own. We transplanted the crowns from my parents farm. They are similar to strawberries plants. You can’t barely the whole crown. They also are heavy feeders, meaning they need lots of fertilizer according to a church sister. Thanks for watching!
I had so much rhubarb last year from 3 cuttings. That I made rhubarb jelly, jam with strawberries, pie filling, BBQ sauce, and then I still had a bunch. So I made concentrated rhubarb juice. I put some sugar in it when I canned the juice in quarts. But when I drink it I adjust the sugar to my tastes. Sometimes I drink it straight, sometimes I put seltzer or tonic water in with it. Really good refreshing drink. And it used up a ton of rhubarb.
That’s great! I hope to get more that I have enough to play like you do! My one friend cans the juice and mixes it with grapefruit juice and sprite and her 7 kids love it.
I was eagerly waiting for your hubby to do the taste test LeAnne… lol, he’s so adorable at the end of your videos. Anyway, your bread looks awesome xx Cathi xx 😘
Oh my goodness. This is absolutely delicious. I made it today. You are right. Too much for one loaf pan. I put a cookie sheet under it. Thank goodness I did. It did run over. I ate the part that ran over too. So good. Thank you
I am not a fan of rhubarb, it is so tart and takes over any other flavour. I grow it because it grows so wonderfully here and this year I hope to share. I think if I were to try this recipe, I’d put it through our blender first. That way I’d avoid any sour surprises 😊. Thanks for sharing!
My neighbor gifted me about 6 lbs of rhubarb. I canned it yesterday per the ball blue book. If I get any more, I will definitely try this bread. I also want to try the Victoria sauce in the ball book.
I'll have to try this i have alot of frozen rhubarb left over from last year that needs to be used up because this years harvest has already begun. Thanks for sharing this.
It might not be popular in your area… it like to bolt in June and it doesn’t taste good after that. It prefers cooler temperatures. Thanks for watching!
Tried growing rhubarb but doesn't do well in GA heat. This recipe looks delicious and I bet others feel like I do LeAnn, we need your Mothers Rhubarb upside down cake on this channel. Can you share?-😊 And that pink dress looks so pretty on you!-Lori
I never liked rhubarb, but i think i would like this...we had a plant corner of the farm i grew up on. After my mother had to start working and I did all the cooking it was never used again...because if i didnt like it, it didnt get made! lol.
I posted on both my personal & farm pages a picture of what I baked today. I made mine gluten free and it is still very moist which is impressive! Everyone that tried it today loved it and can't stop eating it. Thank you!
Looks delicious. I love rhubarb! I looked through all your post and didn't see Strawberry/Rhubarb Pie. Any chance you could make one😁. Thank you for the delicious recipe, another one I will be making! God bless you and your family. 🙏❤
I can as soon as my strawberries get a little redder. I can’t believe a year into this channel and I haven’t made one pie for the subscribers. God Bless you and yours!
You can also use potato water as your liquid in any bread recipe and it keeps it super moist! I bought a rhubarb plant this yard (and if you're already harvesting, it's probably too late for me) so I can wait to try these recipes next year! Have never had it so I'm excited to try it soon! Thanks as always for sharing these recipes! 😁❤️
We love rhubarb here! Mennonite and Amish circles using more in their cooking than most. Now to keep potato water on hand. The other night I cooked my home grown broccoli from the freezer in my pasta water after I cooked the pasta and it was best tasting broccoli we had at home! Weird ? Howard even liked it lol 😆.
Hi LeAnn! Oh this looks so delicious. This is my favorite type of desserts, zucchini bread, banana bread, apple bread or cake without frosting. Hope you and your family have a blessed day!
LeAnne, I made this over the holiday weekend and oh my word, it’s delicious! I bought a new home and am looking forward to planting rhubarb in my yard!
This is amazing!! I just bought some rhubarb at the store to make a pie, I think I also need to make bread. I also think I need to start growing rhubarb too. Thanks for sharing this recipe 🥰
I will be live in less than an hour as well! Thanks for being patient! Last week flew by with the luncheon at church that I had to help with and my bake sale.
Hi LeAnne! My Grandma grew lots of rhubarb so growing up we had it so many ways, but she never made bread! Looks so yummy!! Luckily I can buy rhubarb at our store 🥰
I am going to order that buttermilk powder and make this recipe once I can harvest rhubarb!! Oh my...are there any other Anthony's products you recommend?
Yes I do! Howard loves it. It’s one of my first videos. I should just remake it. I made the bread last week. How to make Pina Colada Zucchini Bread (2021) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3jL0NgRGeAs.html
