@@meenakshimeena569 i have been following the recipes to the dot and may be my tongue is more sensitive than yours. I could taste the same coconut and tomato being there persistent. I am not saying it is overpowering. But it is just and only there and nothing else. makes the sabjis monotonus after a while. Also, if your search on youtube there are other ways to sattvik vegetables, with using oil and whole spices, not powdered one. Some use ghee also which these guys don't follow because it causes violence in cows. But as per the upanishads and ved purans, ghee has always been used for sattvik food preparation. Even sadguru's isha ashram food has ghee. One more thing, doctors say that you should rotate the oil that you cook with. Say one month you used rice bran oil and the next month you use sunflower oil. But with grated coconut, you are just using one kind of fat. Also coconut has saturated fats and many studies are contradictory whether to use it or not.
Thank you for sharing this. Yes variation is important. I follow healthy way of having everything that I eat and keep my diet flexible. This is just a procedure that you can learn and get accustomed with and then can add more variations with time. Keep learning keep eating healthy.
Hello Subh, I have never imagined a sabzi without spices and oil, but today when I followed your recipe I feel very satisfied and happy because I got a way of cooking, thank you for this turning point.

Walking daily helps a lot. I even practice yoga. You can try these, if you're already not following these, I hope it works for you too. another thing to keep in mind is the food that you intake. @@priyadayanandan9091 Yes definitely it will help. Just get rid of the heavy spicing of your food, avoid frying, and avoid bottled sauces and foods made with them. You can get rid of GERD. I followed a subtle way with my diet; fruits, lot of fresh veggie salads and combinations, but at the same time, I did have a grain meal a day with the occasional curry we make at home, but with less spices and oils. I manged to get rid of GERD within a few months. Also walking a lot and staying hungry (fasted unconsciously) through most of the day helped.
@@priyadayanandan9091 Yes. Totally got rid of GERD via this simple diet change and a being a bit more active outdoors after almost an year on medications (which never helped but just kept the symptoms subsided). Hi Subha Jain, I tried cooking the recipe in your podcast and it turned out to be delicious and heavenly.. however I have some queries: 1. Can we have satvic meals 6 days a week and eat our regular meal on the 7th day. Will it have any adverse effects 2. How do we follow a satvic diet when we travel or are out of station and cannot cook food ourselves and have to frequent restaurants for the same 3. As per the sattvic diet the rule is to eat food within 3 to 4 hours but as a working woman it's not possible to consume food cooked within 3 to 4 hours since we have to cook food in the morning and leave home.. Please advise on the same. Will be highly grateful.🌞
You can have your choice of meals one day in a week. But make sure you sweat adequately to rid off toxins from your body. Try to fast once a week. Keep at least 12 hours of gap between dinner and breakfast. If you have to frequently go to restaurants then you must try to fast intermittently. If you are below 40 years of age then make sure you run 5km a day five times a week. If below 30 then 9 km run 5 times a week will help you a lot. If if you are in early twenties try to run 15 km 4 times a week and you can eat whatever you want. Always drink plenty of water.
1. Satvik food is all about bringing in positivity and lightness to your mind, body & senses. There are no adverse effects if you have one cheat day. In fact, it’s appreciable that you’re trying to make a positive change, as opposed to having wrong food combinations everyday. 2. Try to have fruits as much as possible. When you’re traveling, there’s a lot more exposure to the seasonal fruits and vegetables growing there. Of course it’s not possible to have fruits for every meal, instead you can try vegetarian options made without onions and garlic or food from vegan restaurants. Most of all, enjoy your holiday! You can make up for it once you’re back to the grind. 3. As a working mom, it is not easy to make frequent meals. In an ideal situation, food should be consumed as soon as it is prepared. But in today’s day and age, that’s not the most feasible option. There’s a beautiful guideline in Ayurveda, which states that any food consumed after it was kept overnight is unsuitable for the body. So, in your case, more than 3-4 hours works fine. Just try to use wholesome food items, freshly grown fruits and veggies, seasonal foods and try using milk from a local dairy, which doesn’t use hormones for obtaining the milk. There are many such cow sheds all over the country. The whole perspective is to do the best you can, given your circumstances. As long as you’re trying your best, you’ll be in good health :) -Vd.Riya
@@riyamohan968 hi ma'am, you mentioned that eating food kept overnight is not healthy. 1. What if the food is refrigerated or freezed to be preserved? 2. Also grains soaked overnight or flour dough kneaded a week before gets fermented. Doesn't Ayurveda also mention that khameer or fermentation is healthy?

@@priyadayanandan9091 Yes it will. Make sure to eat on time. I have treated my bf who had GERD with a diet similar to this. Simple food is good. As long as you avoid : oils, chillies, spices, onions, tomato, garlic, yogurt, chocolate, coffee and try to keep raw vegan half of the time, for controlling acid reflux. You also may want to do some exercises to help you lose weight as weight can cause acid reflux to worsen. Plus, it is good to incorporate relaxing activities such as yoga and breathing techniques in as well. Hope it helps.

It is very much wrong excluding oil totally from your food. & the logic given here is totally baseless. If It's so, then why don't we chew the grains as whole? Why you make roties of it? Oil/ fat is extremely necessary for body to utilize all the fat soluble vitamins vit-A,D,E,K & also contains omega-3, essential fatty acids which body can't produce, it must be achieved through diet. & if you judge by spiritual perception also, then It's also very clear. Lord Krishna was very fond of makhan/butter & ghee which is produced by pure milk... So don't misguide people by wrong information as a lot of people following your lifestyle. Thank you.

Along with it, do 2 additional things- 1. 15 sets of pranayama every morning on empty stomach. I have discussed the method in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CZDgxv1plfw.html (seconds 12:10). Oxygen will reach your brain and you will see tremendous improvements. 2. 15 minutes of sun gazing every morning. Look at the morning sun (about 20 minutes after sunrise) continuously. You can blink your eyes in between. This will give energy to the cells in the brain. 3. 30 minutes of sunbathing everyday, wearing as little clothes as possible.
