I just love all your wonderful tutorials! You should be very happy, teaching such lovely polymer clay techniques to people like me who are relatively new to polymer clay jewelry making! I say bravo, bravo, bravo for you!!! You deserve alot more credit than you give yourself!! You made everything so simple and easy to understand! I am a senior who is learning to make jewelry as gifts for others, just to brighten some people's day! I already had an interest in batik on fabric, and batik techniques on Ukrainian Easter Eggs called "Pysanky"', so I am just loving that it can work on polymer clay!! O happy day when I turn to You Tube and learn new-to-me handicrafts! Thank you so very much for taking your time, your experience, and your finances to teach these kinds of tutorials on You Tube! You are such a lovely person to listen to! I hope that you and your family will have a very beautiful Spring and Summer 2023 !!! I also wish you good health and much happiness! Sincerely, Laurie from Daffodil Golden Trumpets Ministry 🤩💓🦋🌲🌟🌞🏆🎺🎺🍀🍁🌈
My grandchildren will be here in three weeks and I can't wait to do this technique with them! I'll cure several various size blanks for them to choose from and let them create their own design. They LOVE messy so this craft will be perfect. Thank you, Val (Pam) for providing me a fun and doable craft with my group of seven. No doubt, the parents will want to get creative, too! Happy Hopper!
Ha! Ha! I really do know the very unique difference between you and Pam, but couldn't help myself! Will post photos of my grandchildren's artwork on HOP when complete. Eager for your next tutorial!
Great Video! It would be good to use a stencil as well to apply the glue (I think it needs to be something like a plastic craft or cake stencil though, rather than a silk screen, which I think would get clogged up with the glue)
Perfect timing! A friend just became grandmother to triplets. I plan to make blanks, place 3 adorable chubby hands in white glue and make one handprint per child. Ink the clay, add their names to the back and the year = divine holiday (and year round), decorations'. That could easily become a family tradition. Love it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! (I was thinking about buying kits to make their handprints but this is so much more personal -.and certainly more affordable. Especially for triplets, year after year after year.)
Brill Val , you have made it a lot easier than some of the techniques I have tried for batik . Off to buy some really cheap white glue . Thanks for sharing .Look forward to your next video .
Yes was a bit scared to use my Elmer's as that is NOT cheap over here, lol .I use it for fused glass so buy it from my glass supplier I could probably buy it cheaper .
Thank you so very much for sharing in this technique! I was looking everywhere, and even after a couple other tute’s, yours is tops! (Also, truly enjoy your lighthearted approach; appreciate your sense of humor!) Awesome!💖
Oh, How I love you! Your video's are wonderful and REAL! Meaning you don't have to own a studio to make your crafts. Adore your sense of humour and the fact that it is okay make mistakes. I bow to you.....my Queen
Thank you for this tutorial, Val. It's great. I love seeing and hearing you while you create. I'm going to try this very soon. You've made batiking on polymer look doable and less intimidating than some other tutorials I've watched.
October 2020! And JUST NOW discovering you! So very happy I did! Love your personality, your like watching a good friend that shares my sense of humor. Looking forward to binge watching all your videos!
What Brand of Alcohol Ink did you use? I really like the technique, and thought that your designs were uncomplicated, , but quite pretty? Thanks, Elizabeth
Thanks Val. I am new to PC and there are so many things to learn. I have seen HOPpers talk about Batik and it sounded complicated. You made it very doable. Maybe you could explain the scary extruders ;)
Watched the video through twice, Went to store and bought cheap glue. I be baking more trinket dishes soon, so will include some blanks./then we will see..... Thanks for teaching this technique!
Have you tried tu use masking fluid (used in watercolor painting) ? This gum can be taken away very easily, by mere rubbing, without risking to make holes with the knife !
I am a beginner at polymer clay so I absolutely love your tutorials and other fun videos. This is such a fun and inexpensive technique!! Since your black lines turned out quite thin, could you have used a paintbrush and dabbed the ink between the glue instead of spreading the ink all over? Thank you.
Hey great tutorial, can you please add an subtitles option in your videos please? So it’s easy to follow without sound and for those that may find it had to understand you (such as different languages or not good hearing etc.)
I think RU-vid supplies subtitles (CC) but they are often very weird and wrong. I have subtitled some of mine but it is a huge amount of work, so not all are done that way. xx
Yet another excellent tutorial with outstanding results I can't wait to try. I especially like the last one with the black ink. Oh, and great tee shirt! 😁
Thanks! I haven't tried but I wouldn't be too keen to. Polymer clay bakes at a low temperature and makes a horrid stinky gas if it burns... It might work with hot glue but if you try, do it in a very ventilated place. xx
Val your so clever and super talented , Steven told me about your you tube channel and i'm so glad as I've never know what to do with all my filo clay !! hope you don't mind me leaving a comment X
Hi Sharron, great to hear from you! I really had no idea that Steven had even noticed I HAD a channel, lol. Fimo is so much fun and so is RU-vid, you're always welcome to leave comments, or ask me about anything. Thanks! xx
Love your Game of Thrones tee!!! Danereys aka Mother of Dragons is one of my faves right next to Sansa and Tyrion! This technique is totally cool!! I have GOT to try this!!! Thanks!!
