I'm here after seeing Taehyung's video that he told he love kimchi. And it's a good name for his future kid.. anybody is here for knowing this for BTS..... Army...💜 Purple you 💜
Nice, simple and direct; ingredients are also not hard to find. Great presentation, you won't get bored in watching its content and you will learn fast too. Ingredients: 1 Chinese Cabbage 100g salt 2 cups water 1 tbsp grated garlic 1 tbsp grated ginger 1 cup gochugaru > Korean red pepper flakes (or regular hot pepper flakes or chili paste or paprika) 50 ml starch, diluted in water (to give consistency to the mixture); flour can be used too ½ cup water 250 g white radish 1 medium carrots 2 green onions ½ part of apple 1 tbsp white sugar Directions: Cut cabbage into quarters Remove the bottom part of cabbage Cut cabbage into small pieces - to soften faster and fit in the jar Add generous amount of salt Add water then mix well Let the cabbage sit for 40 minutes After 40 minutes, rinse the cabbage well When cabbage is nice and soft, mix all ingredients together Put in jar but do not make the jar full (3/4 of the container), leave space because mixture will ferment and rise in volume Leave the kimchi to ferment at room temperature for 3 days, then refrigerate While waiting for the cabbage: Combine garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and corn starch (diluted) Mix well then add water and mix again Add sugar (to help fermentation) Mix everything together Prepare other vegetables: Cut radish into thin strips (you can use vegetable shredder) Same with carrots Cut green onions into small pieces Cut apple into small pieces as well
Me - seeing the vidio how to make kimchi And also me - saw the comments And i was likee... Waitt wtf everywhere BTS armys are likeee spread everywhere Even if r seeing some vidio of visiting korea just see the comment section it will be full of armys 😂 Oii ARMYS u nice keep goin Me - *proud mom* 💜💜💜💜💜💜
This is more simple and affordable than other tutorials. But can i use chili paste instead of hot pepper flakes? I searched for it then some says it is fine
The batch of Kimchi I just did a few days ago was made with normal cabbage. I can't tell the difference, really. As long as you chop up the cabbage in small pieces, like in the video, it's all fine and you can use normal cabbage as well. Hope it helps!
@@rommiescorner5448 yes it does.. I'm from Nigeria and love trying other cuisines.. got a little discouraged with the Chinese cabbage but I'll try it out now💃
Hello Rommie's corner and fellow youtubers, i tried the recipe, and whew! it is very spicy. I didnt realise how much Koreans eat pepper! As a Nigerian, for once I was taken aback with pepper. All that said, it is so tasty especially with apples. I made a batch fresh yesterday evening, but I've left them to ferment for now. Really looking forward to eating it with different things 😁
First of all, thank you for watching my video and trying my recipe! Yes, it's true, Korean food is very spicy and, believe it or not, the version I made is not very spicy. Some people prefer it even spicier than this, which is a lot even for me, a lover of spicy food. 😂 Anyway, when you will combine this kimchi with different dishes, it will not feel this spicy anymore. Hope you will enjoy it!
@ANIMAL!!! Hiya....yes I made a batch, it's now fermening in the fridge. I think it's starting to ferment now after two days so far. I opened it to taste it and it's so good!!!! I don't like the kimchi with shrimp in it. I make it vegetarian. By the way, walmart sells the right cabbage you need...that's where i got mine :)
@ANIMAL!!! Funky? I do reverse speech, I guess that makes me funky in a cool way? lol Here is an example of my work ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2w-PldnpGAQ.html

Oh my 😊 this is how I make my Napa cabbage kimchi too except I used pure honey instead of sugar. Thanks for the video and I subscribe to see more of your fast, easy recipes. 💕
@@rommiescorner5448 have to bother you , I made a batch earlier and hours later I justs realised I forgot sugar. Now it doesn’t look like the usually kimchi and has any liquid. Can I put it back into a bowl and add sugar? Do you have any advice for me please😞😭
room temperature here is quite hot, about 26-28 celcius (im in malaysia). im worried it will go bad instead of fermenting. is it ok to just ferment them in the fridge?will it take longer?
@@rommiescorner5448 wow! Thanks for replying so quickly. I just watched a BTS Run Episode, and they used burdock root in one of the kimchi recipes. So, I thought of using sweet potatoes or some other root vegetable as substitute. But if it's not necessary, then carrot is great. Thanks a lot Rommie.
Haha no problem! 😁 Hmm using sweet potatoes might make the kimchi a bit too sweet. Can't say for sure, since I haven't used it before. But yeah, just carrots are more than enough. My current batch of kimchi is made without radish, because I didn't have it available, and it's still delicious! :)
Not really, but you can use regular chilli flakes, or any other type of pepper flakes that you normally find in the store. It's not exactly the same taste, but I did it like that before and it's pretty good as well. :)
