In this video I would show you how I made Five finger, Star fruit or Carambola juice!
Important Information I Came Across, Please Take Note:
Caramboxin (CBX) is a toxin found in star fruit (Averrhoa carambola). Individuals with some types of kidney disease are susceptible to adverse neurological effects including intoxication, seizures and even death after eating star fruit. Caramboxin has been identified as the neurotoxin responsible for these effects.
Due to a possible interaction between caramboxin and oxalic acid in starfruit leading to both neurotoxic and nephrotoxic effects, eating starfruit or drinking its juice on an empty stomach is not recommended, even for individuals with normal kidney function.

Yes I do have a great helper. No it does not taste like mango. Some of the fruits can be sweet others a little sour. It depends on the tree.

Hi. I live in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 lots of carambolas made juice the other day No No sugar needed just use the orange colored ones. 100 percent natural. Sugar is your enemy! 😜

Hi, I know too much sugar is not good for our bodies however some Carambolas are very sour and not sweet and therefore in order to cut some of the sourness you have to add sugar to it. That is why I don’t make juice that often, I prefer just to eat the fruit by itself with a little sea salt. Of course if you have kidney problems you would not want to take Carambola.

Hi, it may be wise to add to the video that starfruits contain a neurotoxin called caramboxin and those with renal failure/kidney disease should avoid consuming it. It may cause death as they are unable to filter the toxin out.
