I remember a couple years ago my parents installed a camera in my little brother's room to make sure he was going to sleep on time (he was 2-3 years old). A couple weeks passed, everything seemed alright and was working properly. My cousin comes over to stay for the night and we're walking to my room (a small hallway connects brother's room with mine. when the door's wide open in my room you can see inside on the camera) and my cousin comments on how the camera looked like it moved. I brush it off, saying that it's probably my dad checking up on everything from work. No big deal. Several days later my mother goes to get in bed with my brother, since he has trouble sleeping alone. It's late at night and my mother hears something on coming from the camera. It has a microphone feature, sort of like how ring does. My mother lays back down and all of a sudden she hears a man cursing at her from the camera. She freaks out and takes my brother to her room. My parents unplug the camera they had in his room and my little sister's room, and haven't plugged them in since.

Please fire the 'Security Expert'. This is clearly credential stuffing, also known as using a list of passwords and emails from a breached database, which is then put into a program which quickly inputs huge lists of breached databases and checks to see if someone uses the same email/password. This was NOT a targeted attack, it was a randomly found account. That's why you don't use the same password for multiple sites, simple as that.
