Hi! That sounds odd. Are you saying that the loop on one side does not lay as flat as on the other side? Maybe just tug a little on that side and perhaps the suspenders will lay a little flatter.

Hello James, those adjusters usually work well for people, sorry you are having an issue. Is there stress on the straps? That can happen if they are supporting a heavy load or if you are maxing out on the size/length. If you are maxing out on the length you might solve the issue with the next larger size. In any case, all of out suspenders with more standard metal hardware has clamp style adjusters that lock into position and do not slip.

Those adjusters usually do not slip unless put under load, which your tools might do. Another reason can be if you buy too small a size and the straps are stretched more than they should be. If it is just one adjuster slipping it may just be machined poorly, if it is both adjusters it would more likely be one of the above issues. If you are just wearing them for work, I know it sounds hokey but you could put safety pins on them to hold the adjusters in place.

Hi Tobias! We are biased so we think that any of our suspenders will look great on you. But if you do not want to show them, you can wear any of the basic ones under a shirt, that you leave untucked. We also do have suspenders specifically for that, called Undergarment suspenders, that are softer then normal ones, for folks who wear them closer to their skin. If you want to tuck your shirt in, and/or show the suspenders, depending on your lifestyle we have quite a range from dress suspenders to western style leather, to basics. Maybe poke around on our website a bit to get an idea. We have pictures of most of them on models. Hope that helps!

Hi Janis! Some folks drape or clip them to hangers, I usually fold/roll them up and put them in zip loc bags in a drawer. That usually keeps them from tangling.

Hi! It depends. And it often is not worth the cost, it might be cheaper just to buy the button suspenders. If you have a drop clip - that is a piece of leather between the suspenders material and the clip - you could unstitch the leather, take out the clip and put in the leather strip button attachment and restitch the leather. Alternately, you could cut the clip loop that attaches to the leather with a metal cutter and try to just run a leather strip through the drop clip leather. If the hole is too small it may not fit. If it is not too small but is tight you could tie a string to the leather strip, push the string through the hole and pull the leather strip through. If you do not have a drop clip, meaning that the suspender material itself is sewn around the clip metal loop, you could theoretically cut the clip loop like above or unstitch the material and restitch it around a leather strip. But without the drop clip piece of leather the tension on the leather strip once you button it would crimp or fold the suspender material and would look odd. Some suspenders are convertible, meaning that they come with both attachments. Those suspenders have a button or knob that you can use to open the drop clip and take out the attachment that you do not want to use at the time. Hope that helps.

Hi Dan, Sorry if you wanted more info. You push down on the outside piece of the adjuster clamp to close them. Depending on the suspenders that you have the adjuster may be stiff at first.
