Is the peppermint oil an active ingredient or is it simply to make the taste pleasant?

can i keep this mixture in a silicone tube? will it react or go bad in any way?

I would suggest mixing half the stated quantity which should for brushing teeth last around a week, hydrogen peroxide decays rapidly, a sealed container will last about a year unopened but once opened and resealed will half its life expectancy to around 6 months, left completely open to air will last around 1 month but gradually decay so for a 3% over that month it will loose its strength gradually, do not store it in a sealed container because it releases 'gas' and will explode or spray out when opened, just a simple glass jar with 1 or 2 pin holes poked in the lid will be fine.

How do i know the peroxide in using isn’t too concerntrated for this mixture

The verbal instructions to mix dry ingredients and then slowly add wet ingredients is good directions. This is a do as I say, not as I do. Then dumping of one dry ingredient on top of the another dry ingredient followed by emptying all wet ingredient into same bowl as two dry ingredients is a obvious failure to follow a simple set of instructions in how to combine 3 ingredients. The fact that presenter has not taken down this post eludes to no editing, lack of quality in fact checking and being ok having it known she never read the book.
