@@MrCollyT the taxi bug doesn't work anymore bc the mission ends as soon as the submission button is hit. the glitch still works; you'd just have to do it in missions where a passenger is with you like "Luigi's Girls" or "Deal Steal"
Okay, I get why the car loses its collision box (it gets removed when the crusher grabs it), but why does it grow when you steer? Moreover, why does it only grow in length and width, but not height? This is so weird.
I heard an explanation once but I'm not sure if it's true. Apparently GTA III temporarily makes cars a tiny bit wider when you turn to make turning feel more natural. Normally the car reverts to its normal width when you finish the turn. But when you perform the "ghost car" glitch, the hitbox of the car is disabled and the car never resets the width value until you respawn. So after every turn it gets bigger and bigger until it reaches a ridiculous size.
@@CinematicSeriesGaming The fact that it involves the crusher makes me think that it's really an unused crush script that's supposed to "flatten" the car but just makes it wider instead, maybe due to a scripting mistake.
I think it has something to do with how the car attaches to the magnet. An easy way to do it is to parent the object with the magnet. That way, when the magnet moves, the car does too. Maybe if the physics engine acts on global coordinates when driving, there is some small error due to the precision in decimals it uses when translating it to the local coordinates of the magnet, that now does every time. And it simply accumulates. And as to why turning affects dimensions, translation operations in video games are stored on a matrix, kind of like a table of numbers. The fun part about those matrix is that all translation, size, rotation and position, are stored in a way they are mixed, so if they are not treated properly wired things happen.
@@DrBernon This is an interesting hypothesis, but I'm not sure if this is the case. Usually you have to get pretty far away from the origin point for floating point precision to become an issue, and when that happens polygons become mangled and misaligned. It's actually a fascinating glitchy mess. Real nightmare fuel.
bro ur way of telling the glitch is so good because of that.........u earned a new subscriber EDIT: i have done this glitch in gta lcs android and i travelled to other island
I remember buying a PS2 complete with leads and controller, good condition, for about £12 and GTA 3 and San Andreas for £4. You know when people say "It pays to shop around" They're not joking...
I can appreciate the effort you must have put it to this video, Nice work! I didn't even know about this until I read a comment about it being patched out, if it is then that's a shame.
Bruh this kinda bring back memories I like going to car crusher site and bring many car as much as possible because for some reason I want too see Claude get crushed together with the car But it's always failed and I never make Claude Crushed to death with the cars lmao
It is mu headcanon that Claude and Misty went on a big trip after GTAIII to destroy Mafia-related organizations in some magical car that can get shrinked and pass through solid objects.
Me too, back in the day the coolest thing we knew about was you could break the windows and get a Banshee "early". Knowing that glitch in 2001 would have made me king of the classroom. Not really.
I remember doing this on my phone, I did this to get the Kuruma to have an effect, I don't remember what, maybe damage proof or all proof. Anyway this video was really good, keep content like this going!!!
Not many people know this but before Matt became a GTA speedrunner, he worked in a gun store. But then in 1998 the Australian government made the gun law more restrictive so he had to move on and that's why he's playing GTA today. True story.
Fun fact: if you manage to park the car inside your garage and the garage closes and opens the car restores back to normal and is completely damage proof and you can enter it once again
Grwat! Now i would take the Limo AP/EC to the Satunton Garage! I would, if i could play, but i havrn't got space, or how it days in rnglish, to play in PS4! well, i'll have to download in PC, but there's mods, so doesn't care XDD
