Thanks for the info, I will suggest lowering the volume of any breaks to music and the intro. I would also suggest making the intro shorter. Side note, its not my cup of tea for music selection but don't let that change what you want. Make the videos you want to make!
this is good advice but backwards. dont lower your music volume, raise the content volume by using an audio normalizer and compressor. would keep everything at an equal volume and be the "polished" result you are looking for.
Many may be cynical of this, regardless it WAS done and worked great. Back in the '80's I had a '72 Toyota Celica with a 18-RC and 4 speed. The "Progressive" 2V died and I was in need of a new carb. I happened to have a Holley 600 CFM with vacuum secondaries which got me thinking. The base of the 18-RC carb was VERY close to that of a SB Chev. Also a 2 - 4 bbl adapter - hmmmmm. After an hour or so of "fabrication" with a file the adapter slipped over the manifold studs. Without issue the Holley dropped on leading me to the next step - linkage. As the mechanical linkage was all but impossible to adapt and a 50-50 thought of success, I simply ran mechanics wire through the firewall to a 10 mm wrench. Considering the hand throttle and my ex shifting gears, the initial test drive was actually a success! End result was a decent running car after installing the smallest jets available and a black or brown secondary diaphragm spring. I added a cable throttle from a newer Toy once I realized it was a viable project. No doubt more tweaking was necessary - at 67 I can't remember all I had done to it over 30 years ago!
For over 50 years I've been my own mechanic. The fuel system seems to have always been the most confusing. (all them little parts and springs and stuff). Would have loved to see a careful tear down and rebuild, with your verbal wisdom along the way.
I love your videos. I like DIY I like that you give warnings and other information. Is there any way you could do anything about your sound? I have the volume turned up so I can hear you then all the sudden the music comes on and it's screaming loud. I turn the volume down you come back can't hear anything turn the volume up back to music blaring me loud again. I'm spending more time turning the volume up and down then I am hearing what you're sayin. Thank you for the great content. I'm truly loving the SVO. I remember when they came out
The music was off-putting, would rather hear you voice-over telling what you were doing, specifically. Had to fast forward over the music montage bits unfortunately
Music is fine during working scenes. Intro is too long, I'd prefer an episode specific intro (tell us or show us what to expect in the episode) or skip the intro and just jump right in. I'm sure long stock intros are good to increase watch time, but I hate them.
