When I lost the footage to my regular camera I use (Sony A7r ii), all I had left was my GoPro footage, and it actually turned out pretty good! Check it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UzogZ9RR5Fg.html
ISO is the sensitivity of the sensor to light. The higher the ISO the more sensitive the sensor, which means brighter footage in low-light. However, the higher the sensor the noisier your image. Essentially its a balancing act of how much noise you are willing to accept for brighter low-light footage. Mine is at 800.
iso setting in gopro's protune is not a specified valiue, it is a maximum value. So the camera will use a lower ISO than 800 in his case if the need arises
Great video! I like the idea to use a pack of preset rather than do the color yourself. It's really hard to get the right color and it's time consuming! Thanks for those advice man, Looking forward to try that on my next video!
[CHRIS] Just learned about Optical Flow. Going to be super useful for smoothing and slowing down all kinds of footage. But why is it jittery if you shot 120 frames and slowed to 20%? Don't you still have 24 real frames at that speed? Would a 30 FPS project not be as jittery?
@reha alev THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am new to FCPX and I always wanted to figure out to limit the distortion surprisingly thru this tutorial. thank you so much! i have subscribed. Looking forward to your next content! :)
Informative video for newbies such as myself. Since this newbie is shooting a cinematic video (like what the examples you have pictured) plus interviews (where I am using 3 GoPro5s - "1" shot, plus two angle shots from different sides/heights.
Hello, Nice video! Just a question. If you shoot at 1080, and crop it / remove the fish eye effect. Will be video be exported in 1080 or will it become a smaller like 720 instead?
Still in 1080p. You upscale slightly, but it is still OK. Note this is only when shooting slow motion in 1080p. If you should in 2.7k, this won't be an issue.
Hey reja i just want to ask. Is 1080x24 the best setting for go pro cinematic videos or do you have a better preference? Also i only have pinnacle studio 20 for post editing do you think thats good enough for that cinematic look? Thanks. Im new at this. Trying to do some travel videos.
Reha.. Excellent tutorial.. I am new to video editing and learned a lot from this video.. Hoping to use these techniques and get a cinematic video soon.. Thanks
I shot footage yesterday in flat white balance native but my footage looks terrible the sky is completely blown out it's aweful within post the sky is completely blown out I can get any detail back any tips please? I can share a screenshot
When retiming if you use 'Automatic Speed' it will conform the clip speed to the Project speed. Your video will then be frame accurate; no dropped frames or need for interpolation.
Wow... Your Tutorial is GREAT... You didn't talk too fast... you explained everything in detail, and you went back and forth SHOWING us what you did... You Sir, are a great Teacher. "Thank You" for sharing this...
Hi Reha. Thx for the movie. I was not very familiar with action camera processing in FCPX. Beautiful LUT by the way. I checked at Pixel Film and they have quite a few LUT packages. From which package from Pixel Film came that LUT you applied? Thx in advance for the answer.
Do you have? Or can you make a video on the process you go through for getting your GoPro Hero6 Black video off the camera and into Final Cut Pro X for editing and color correction? What are the steps for best results? Thanks!
I used Final Cut Pro X or Premiere. GoPro's own app, iMovie or Movie Maker would be fine as a beginner. DaVinci Resolve is another free yet professional option.
shubdeepsingh as far as i know final cut pro X works only on Macs and i am using the Adobe Premiere Pro CC on my windows desktop pc. Adobe works also on macs.
