As I mentioned in the previous regions videos I have played this save file since release and only recently started recording it. Also, I use mods now but I did complete the vanilla game without them....get over it.

I recently picked up a g920 and it seems to work fine with snowrunner and shifter works fine with it, (little backwards, low high is left down, and low low is left up). How is it broken? Perhaps I haven't noticed it.

@@steveroberts92 you can remap all the gears to whatever you want just start with the shifter in neutral. As for them being broken I know for a fact at least the g29 on PlayStation is affected. I just generalized it because they’re both the same wheel technically just the g29 is PlayStation branded. Saber has also verified there is a problem with Logitech wheels. I received this back from them the other day when I updated these videos as lots of others were commenting saying their wheel wasn’t working. Hello. We are aware of the issue when the Logitech G29 steering wheel is not working on PlayStation after a recent update and working on a fix it right now. We will provide a fix as soon as we can. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. I edited the pinned comment to specify PlayStation and g29 just to cover my bases. Thanks for letting me know about the g920. Are you on PC or Xbox?

What if you don’t have the shifter just the wheel?

The issue occurs only on the PC and exclusively when the shifter is connected directly to it. The solution is to connect both the shifter and pedals to the wheel base.

I think the worst thing about this game is the automatic shifting and just the general throttle input the driver decides to give, because it's not at all what you're pressing. You can just be jamming up a perfect straight away. Trying to keep some momentum to get through some mud and the driver will just completely miss gears and stop for no reason, then you hold the throttle maxed out for about 10-15 seconds before any movement occurs, engine clearly isn't making any RPM. It's bewildering, and I'm kind of an off-road enthusiast in real life. I would never drive like that, you clutch it and get down into the next gear lower when you're headed into trouble, You don't just take it out of gear and come to a complete stop and then gently accelerate out after you check your phone or whatever he's doing LOL

Could you map neutral to clutch in? May be a stupid question as I don’t have a wheel shifter set… figure it has to be mapped to a shifter position.

As far as I know you cannot. My pedal and the left paddle both just act as L1. You could try it I guess but it might cause some issues. How often do you ever actually use neutral though? If you want to map it to something I’d just map it to the reverse gear and use 6th gear for reverse like I say in the video. Or vice versa but I’d rather just be able to slap it into 6th for reverse rather than push down and back to reverse. To be honest I haven’t used my wheel a lot lately but next time I get it out I’ll try it.

Just want to point out that the current PS5 models (got mine in November of 2023) only have USB C in the front, so they must be plugged into the back.

Absolutely not but I think it’s the best part of playing with a wheel/shifter. You can map your gearbox to the various 1-6 and reverse locations of the shifter. So like I explain here you can make “1st gear” on the shifter Low if you wanted and so on. You also can just move the shifter and it will change into whatever you’ve mapped without using a clutch.

@@onurcan2129 I don’t believe auto centering works on SnowRunner. I personally don’t like that anyway. So it never bothered me.

why did you set high gear above auto cuz high gear can be slower than the highest auto gear

It’s just the way I did it and got used to it. Personally I think it works well. High gear is nice to use in instances where you want to keep the truck moving at a consistent speed and if I need more speed I can just flick the shifter down to where I put Auto. I usually always leave the shifter in the neutral position and I’ll move it back to that position after I select a gear. With all that being said you can map yours whatever makes the most sense to you.

@@oxmate there is no manual mode. But you can use a shifter to change gears like low, high, reverse. Etc.

@@oxmate I don’t have any experience with a Moza wheel or know if it’s even compatible with the game. To be honest wheels are not the best way to play. It is fun yes and using a shifter is nice as “gear” changing is much simpler but you’re still playing the game in auto there is no manual option. Shifters just allow you to easily change into low, high, auto and reverse without using another button as a clutch. My videos about wheels and SnowRunner all pertain to Logitech. So I’d be no help for any other brand. Sorry.

That my friend is entirely up to you. If you’re on PlayStation and just want a wheel that works well but won’t break the bank I’d really just recommend the Logitech. The G29 was made for ps3/4 but it still also works for ps5 just fine. The wheel I’m using in this video and the only wheel I’ve ever owned is the Logitech G29. Edit: also the G29 comes with pedals. The shifter is an extra add on though.

Thanks, the only thing I changed was reverse in the proper place and sixth for neutral. Can you make the clutch pedal functional?

Technically it can be used as your clutch but you don’t need to use it to change to a different gear. It’ll work the same way L1 works or the left paddle on the wheel.

i just got my g923 wheel and pedals and i can even connect it to snowrunner do you know why ?

There is a pinned comment with information. Season 10 broke Logitech wheels on PlayStation. G29 and G923 are currently not working. They are working on a fix but that is all anyone knows.
