Nothing special ..it's the normal way to do any canopy... though you cannot just pull the mask off after a clear coat ...it will rip the paint off ..you first need to re blade the edges first . Why a 3rd clear coat on the inside ? You dunked it twice ....
I’m working on the Revell Memphis Bell it does not have the raise canopy what the best way to mask it because the only way I see liquid mask 🤷 I’m stumped
I’m by no means experienced, but a gloss prior to placing decals helps avoid silvering by smoothing the surface. Then matte helps to hide the edges, seal in the decal, and more closely match the flat military color of the planes. Not sure I’d bother with gloss under matte just on the canopy though.
why not put the gloss coat before masking? wouldn't that protect it a bit against scratching? i haven't tried it myself but i assume worst case scenario you can easily sand the raised areas a bit if the paint doesn't stick
I can't remember if I said that in the video. But yes you can gloss coat it by dipping it in future or pledge and let that dry for a day before Masking.
@@michalgajdos7575 i'm pretty sure you get the exact same product sold under other names and brands. klear, klir, future in the UK? (or is that a brand)
