It will not, as long as the trailer is towed so it's within 1-1/2 or 2 inches +/- of level. Because the rear suspension of your MDX will compress a bit from the trailer's tongue weight, I'd recommend going with a 7-inch rise ball mount like # C45338. I agree. My truck sags about 2 inches due to tongue weight

If the trailer is out of level, it can cause trailer sway. You won't always be able to get things 100% level, but you'll want to get as close as possible. Be sure to allow a couple of inches for the squat caused by the trailer tongue weight. If you have to choose between having the coupler an inch or two above or below level, choose below level, as the trailer will handle better. I hope that helps!

@@etrailer Thanks for your reply if the trailer was sitting high at the front would it make towing feel more jerky and make the ride feel bumpy.

Although it's not an exact science, you'll typically want to allow about 1 to 1-1/2 inches for squat caused by the trailer's tongue weight. Hope that helps!

So wouldn't we want to adjust the bumper by 1 to 1.5? You said messure here to here and subtract, which i understand, but now your saying 1 to 1.5 ?????

No problem. We get lots of vehicles through here monthly, so unless a detail like that is directly related to the product (like air bags or other suspension components) we typically don't make note of that.
