just square up the sections ... add up the perimeter total ,,divide by 120 for starter eve and rakes.. divide hip and ridge by 30 for 3 tab hip and ridge ,,measuring from the ground you use the pitch factor..easy stuff
i measured roofs from the ground with engineers wheel .....measuring from the ground can get you damn close ,,had 2 roofs done back to back ... i was 3 bundles over total between both roofs
