I installed these spring twists on my hair and one thing I learned is when you attach the braid hair to your hair, braid down approximately 1/2 inch to avoid slipping. Make sure to evenly distribute your hair with the three strands of the fake hair at the beginning to “lock” the twist in place. Also, you don’t need to twist each piece into each other like Senegalese twists. The looser you twist the hair, the better the twist will look at the end. Good job! Very cute!
6-8hrs is not bad at all! I never really thought of using the crochet hair to help. I attempted the rubber band method and that was awful. I'm going to give this a try! Thanks for sharing!
I admire how you did your twists yourself. This probably saved you so much money! I also do my braids, twists, and crotchet myself. It’s really not as hard as people assume. I also love the purple 😍😍
OMG THIS IS LIKE SO EASY! You can literally take it down and redo one fast unlike redoing a box braid... I did my box braids before now I want to try this
Yes honey! This is the best braids/twists I've ever seen. I will be trying this. I cut off my locs recently and I'm constantly looking for a new style until my hair grows back out.
I'm not sure if u have done any previous videos... but can u do a video on how u maintain ur protective styles and how u treat ur hair and scalp while it's in protective styles. Love all ur videos and I just subscribed ❤
Omg!! I literally just did my hair like this memorial day weekend & it came out great!! It is time consuming (took me like 10 hours), but it was my first time & it was very worth it. I love the way you added the purple hair in though. Thank you for your video!
I just did these a couple days ago and I have been getting so many compliments. I'm not gone like it took me forever because I like to take breaks but they are so easy to do. My hair is soft, so that was the only issue. Thanks for the tutorial. This is now my go to hair style.
I spent my entire last night watching your videos. I stumbled over your channel. When I saw your hair on ig I got emotional not exaggerating that's how I want my hair to be. I subscribed to your channel and I definitely hit the bell lol. God Bless
I’ve never tried a protective style any other length than booty length lol BUT because of you, I just went and purchased some hair and I’m going to do this today
I was thinking if to do these or faux locks when I take these box braids off. Looks like I'll be doing this. So cute. And I will definitely be doing colors
Totally agree with the box braids theory. They aren't a protective style for me. I end up with my fine edges ripped out. When I do this my hair looks great, retains moisture and looks very natural.
I’m here binging on your old videos & saw this notification! I’m new to the family But I’m SO happy I joined. Your Gang is amazing. & I LOVE your videos! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're not getting as much bounce because as you twist you appear to be slight twisting each strand. You need to just wrap each strand around the other versus smoothing/twisting or twirling each individual strand as you twist down. I hope that makes sense!
I used kinky Marley braiding hair. It was a lot simpler. Hair separates on it's on. Got a lot of complements. When I bought it, it was 5.99, buy one get one free. It looks just like this style.
I saw this video and clicked on it because I was curious to see how the mini twist thinking it was done with your natural hair but I'm glad I did. This is creative and I may try this and see if it will work on havanna/marley twist.
Hi sis, it's boom you did a fantastic job it's beautiful ! Well done will try this next on my daughter's hair as I have locs thanks for sharing great tips. 💁🏾♀️👌🏾😘
I’m SO glad that I learned how to install these twists myself, two months ago. Saved me a lot of money. This looks great on you. I really like the brand you used. I might have to give this a try. #GoodShitHunnay
I’ve wanted spring twists for yrs now but could never find the hair in stores. Of course it’s everywhere online. These Jamaican Kingston King Twists look like they’re made of spring twist hair so I will be trying this out! Thanks for the video and idea
Yessss!!!! Been waiting on this video. I'm definitely gonna try this when I go back to school. I completely agree with mini twist looking flat when done on natural hair. Most of the time I just put mine up in a bun or updo.
I thought about flat ironing my hair but where i live, it would probably be a proof ball soon as i walked outside😂😂 so im gald i was smart and got braids
I love mini twists i am using them to grow my hair long and to keep from styling (i literally don’t do anything but mist with aloe Vera and apply Shea butter to ends for a month!!!!) i can’t wait to try adding hair to see the length i am looking to achieve
I am somewhat new to this channel and I loveeeee it! You're just so relatable and real! So yeah, I'm definitely here for this hair style, it's different but still cute and looks super simple to do (yes out here tryna save some money) but I have some questions: What brand of hair did you use? Was your scalp itchy from it?/How did you know not to soak it in a ACV mixture?
So I did these over the weekend with the same hair. I love your method but didn't think it would stay in my hair . So I braided my hair in singles about an inch down, took a crochet needle and pulled the hair through the top of my braid and twisted like you did in your video. Hope this helps someone :)
I like this! I watched because I wanted to see what kind of hair you would use. I just gave my 7-year old daughter some shorter fluffy twists and I can’t find the hair I used on her in the stores anymore. It was Afro puffy hair and I don’t know who still sells it. I never thought to use pre-twisted hair (mainly because I HATE pre-packaged hair).
Depending on the braider I pick or if I do them myself braids are a great protective style for me. But girl.... sew in's. I don't know how other people get positive results my hair literally broke off all over. Love the style! it matches your shirt.
Love this!! It turned out amazing, thank you for sharing! I have now subscribed :) Do you think you would be able to re-use the extension hair at least once? With marley hair even if you wash it you can still re-use so I'm trying to determine the longevity of the hair you used.
