You know judging by how you talked about skin prophet I'm going to assume that you don't actually fully understand how his mechanic works, and to be fair I think most people don't, who in their right mind would choose to attack the candles when they have counters. Basically, once you've lit all the candles if you then snuff them out the next turn, he will use the skill 6:5 instead of 9:2 which reflects all damage back and auto staggers him next turn. Usually this doesn't matter if you're running an actual competent team but if you're lacking damage, it should lower your turn count by 2-3.
Just an add UP on what 6:5 Also does : It reduces his Max health, raises his stagger bar by 20% and gives 1 fragile, kinda wish they gave him less slots and made The candles attack you either way só you could play around The mechanic rather than Just rush bomb him
I have to say, I've been finding it funny how everyone's Mirrorclock Orangeroad guides have been about doing the Railway fast. Meanwhile I deliberately stalled the first two stations for 99 turns so I could get a record of 333 turns, to match my 111-turn banner from Line 1 and 222-turn (6 cycles) banner from Line 2. Screw a fancier-looking banner, I wanted to get a cool number.
Gossypium: Easiest fight my ass! I had that bastard on 100ish HP and in one failed clash of the mass-attack (By 1) it was suddenly on half health and most of my sinners were dead!
Finally got this done after putting it off way too long; was on and off it for 3 days. Some of these fights were miserable, especially Ambling Pearl (I could never seem to build up much Rupture even with Sheet Sinclair), the Pequod trio (took a couple retries), and Spiral of Contempt (I tried a brute-force Burn team with the new Liu girls that didn’t even deal much Burn damage, had the brilliant /s idea to put base Yi Sang as a support for Nclair, and basically EGO-spammed through it and pushed it to the last second with the SP drain and Fluid Sac). Didn’t really try for turns, but got 108, and I’m happy with all the non-cosmetic rewards. x_x
Thanks; I managed to get through the first few fights with just whatever I thought was best, but had serious issues with Ardor Blossom Moth (probably too much Blunt); this is going to be super helpful. I guess it’s about to time to shard a bunch of stuff too, since I doubt we’ll have anything else seasonal; I have a bunch of stuff on my list. 🎁 But I’ll have to grind tickets for a while to level them up; glad I have a stockpile of energy boxes and a team that can autowin the ticket luxcavation.
love the succinct coverage man, also don't be like me and bring chef ryoshu, thinking she'll be fine to use and seeing the average lust resist sitting at 0.5
Okay I am going to need some baby hand-holding, for dummies, all the moves I should make as clear as water as if I am choosing the correct dialogue options on a Visual Novel because I can't for the life of me understand what I am doing wrong versus spiral of contempt, I thought if I just bring rupture I win, but THIS GUY is inmortal, I am not nuking him, he is STALLING like if this was yugioh and he had set up 4 floodgates and on turn one and I DON'T have any cards that destroy spell/traps
God damn burn team has low rolls, those 2* merco, hong lu and gregor were such a pain in the ass. Had to use EGO to clash literally anything with these guys (the resourses for which I barely had, thanks for no purple team). Ended up on 94 turns on the first run, and outis each fight got up to 4-5 bullets before the enemy got evaporated
Bit of a late continuation from my previous comment, but my experience went like this (explained in poorly done terraria references and not at all good for references): Porous hand mermaids: easier than fishing in terraria Siltcurrent and the thousand strand mermaid: we ran out of bait and used the truffle worm by mistake Gossypium: plantera’s bleed-happy sister (or brother, I dunno it’s a bloody plant) except its death by a thousand cuts rather than blunt force plant trauma Ambling pearl: easily beaten by dumb strats agains the pearl (aoe ego go!) and a better calamity boss than the giant clam Skin prophet: dude turned the heat up and cooked my team alive more than once Ardor star moth: surprisingly doable but is like mothron or queen bee jumpscaring you with a charge attack, and you have low health: you die The pallid bunch: someone forgot what the bloody tear does but thankfully it’s a pre hard mode blood moon so it’s easy The Pequod trio: who summoned all three mechanical bosses at once I don’t have good gear yet! Ahab the goon: mechdusa but neutered Best fight spiral of contempt: thankfully easy, I don’t have any terraria references outside of “haha moon lord before he ate his cereal” or some dumb junk, it’s a fun fight imho.
If I were to use our own Pequod trio, which IDs would fill in the other 3 slots the best? Need gloom and more wrath to use Ishmael's Blind Obsession and sloth + glut for Yi Sang's Sunshower. Right now I'm leaning towards either kurokumo Ryoshu (to help maintain bleed) or cinq Sinclair since both have the same sins of glut/pride/lust, dieci Hong Lu for wrath/gloom, and twin hook Gregor for sloth/tiny bit of gloom. Basically no lust generation for things like ardor blossom star though.
Honestly, fueling Sunshower and Blind Obsession in that team seems like too many resources to manage. I would take Hook Hong Lu, Cinq Don, and Cinq Sinclair. The Bleed also isn't super important with this team comp since you deal too much damage to need it.
Finally finished with an end count of 73, referred to this guide a lot big help. Was starting to get worried about the heel-turn burn team at the end but paid off with 8 turn finish 💯
Im currently at 90 turns and i have to somehow beat the spiral of contempt before going over 100 turns...pray for me (i dont have the nuke rupture team)
Unfortunate. I'd recommend actually looking into what some Uptie 4s do. They're good, and your hesitance won't keep the near-future away. We're approaching Uptie 5.
