A good teacher encourages us to want to learn more…I just want to say thank you for your videos. I’ve always worked with acrylics and was hesitant about starting oils. Your explanations have greatly eased my anxiety. In fact, I’m excited to try my first portrait and am waiting for my Gamblin supplies to arrive as I type lol. Thanks again. Definitely subscribed.

Great to see you use GAMBLIN. Good stuff. Made right here in Portland Oregon. I have about 8 versions (8 years) of Portland Grey. He takes all the paint that left over and mixes it all together to get that.

Thanks, great video. I've got a custom painting of me playing football by Ruth Mayer (Google her paintings!!! She's so good. She was a patient of mine and she took some of my photos and painted one of her great football collages. Sadly someone was moving it... (it's large) and she dropped it and the canvas tore in the middle. How can I get it repaired? Or should I cut it up to make smaller paintings in smaller frames??? Im SOOO BUMMED!!)

Ite odd how you hold your pencil. You should try holding it more with your thumb on the pencil..... just a thought
