Decapitator is great for this. Also Vitamin (WAVES), Radiatory (SoundToys) and The Oven (Plugin Alliance.)

Great tips. Start with good source material and the 440 sees to that nicely.

Sometimes the mic on a guitar cab picks up a resonances from the cab / room. They shows themselves as a frequencies that are there throughout, even as the guitar changes chords or notes. I like to notch them out with surgical EQ. I find AirEQ Premium (Eiosys/Slate Digial) particularly good for this. Sometimes I even notch out a little bit of overly prominent frequencies coming from pedal tones, eg. open strings that are used throughout a clean part, or on an acoustic guitar. This makes things a bit clearer and the notes that are changing have more space to show themselves.

Great Video! Curious as to how noticeable those subtle cleanup cuts are after going through the decapitator

13m 28s ... that sudden relaxed feeling when you can actually concentrate fully on what the presenter is saying because that damned background music isn't there any more. Sorry guy but I HATE it when people are saying things I really want to listen to, and my brain has to filter out the completely unnecessary and utterly irrelevant music they've stuff in the background. If it's worth saying then let me concentrate on it fully.
