To anyone doing this mod, I highly suggest using a quality body reamer as opposed to using a Dremel tool. The hole should be just barely big enough to fit over the hub to make a lot better positioning when mounted.
Good and efficient explanation. I might give this a try in the future if I find a good gravelspot, that is if I don't happen to have a ALX 48/78 by that time. like the "bloopers" at the end lol, great video.
there are mad max nuts that do that job. I do have a set of adapters actually. So i could try the rear baja wheels i have. I did try some sand paddle style 1/5 scale tyres and wheels on my xmaxxx over xmas. problem for me is they are just too small for it really and i feel it handles its best and jumps its best on the stock xmaxx wheels n tyres. check out my box track running vid with the xmaxx... as i started the run on losi 5t style wheels n tyres... and then changed to the stock ones.. will give u an idea of what i mean.. cheers ;)
Yes u can I'm currently doing the same I was gonna buy badlands mx43 but I can get the rovan excavators for 44.99 a set of 2 with rims at the badlands are 98.99 so I'll spend 99 bucks on 4 tires and wheels still gotta buy xmaxx 24mm adapters. The badlands are heavy and cause issues and the rovans are about the same
I thought Proline makes a bigger taller Tire like the X Maxx I don't like the soft feature I have the Losi dbxl it's 32 lb with the batteries those X Maxx are a little soft
