Thank you for the video. Unlike the OSHA fan in your comments - I understand nuance and I listened when you said at the beginning of the video that you're not an expert or a professional, you're a DIYer. There's obviously risk involved, but as you've shown, this isn't rocket science or even planning a whole city's electrical infrastructure - it's adding a few basic components to a single garage. Which is what I'm about to do too. I just needed some general guidelines on exactly how to do some of this basic stuff - and I'd much rather get it from someone who's DIYed it over an 'expert' that's going to try to wow me with a bunch of more-or-less irrelevant details that'll dilute the information I need to get the job done sufficiently but safely. Your channel's been pretty helpful in my own projects. Thanks again.

You are not pigtailing the outlets? End up with a Christmas light situation from the 60s when you have a failure. More work but pigtailing is a requirement in my mind.

Next time can you show how you added the other breaker to the fuse box..not in fast motion though.

I'm old school, too. I like to wrap the wires instead of stab them in the back of the outlets. The next best is a clamping plate that will hold the wire in place with screw pressure on the plate. Nice job. Some jurisdictions would require nail plates to protect the romex passing through the sheetrock, some don't.

Nice calm video. In some states, none of the Romex sheathing is allowed in the box.

The title of the video is a bit misleading. It's not my intention to diminish your knowledge, give you a bunch of crap, or criticize your work. Just sayin that you haven't "wired" your garage. You added a circuit. Wiring your garage means you introduced electricity to it, in whatever steps it took, to do so. That requires a pro. When it comes to electrical work... there's no such thing as, "Like a pro". You either know what you're doing, or you don't. If you don't, you have no business pretending to be like a pro, hoping you installed "like a pro". As you already know... electricity is dangerous. If you're not familiar with the basics, you could wind up burning your garage to the ground, or causing harm to someone, or both. I think you're a pretty smart guy, and wouldn't do anything to hurt a fly. But making people think, with little to no knowledge of electricity, to think that they can do something dangerous, like a trained professional can... I'm not saying that a responsible, cautious person couldn't run a circuit. There are tons of people that know what's involved, and could easily handle that type of job, knowing any risk involved. Lots of smart people out there. It's the ones who can't see, or take for granted, those dangers that I'd be concerned about. I realize that you have no control over what another person does. It's just the, "You can, too (despite your lack of experience)" that troubles me. Just food for thought. Nothing more. Best of luck to ya.
