@@nightcrawlerc9842 I was only able to use the inside parts. The bolt that it came with did not fit correctly. I had to go to home depot to find the right size. Had to mix and match the old parts with the napa parts. But I made it work and no more sloppy shifter. Good luck bro.

If I plan to use metal bushings, where would you think I can get them?
@DraftProject

Hi bro, most of the time you can get those metal bushings at your local hardware stores.

@@DraftProject bigger hose for my 95 civic ex was 7/16" and smaller was 1/4". Basically had to go one size up from what u recommended using the bolts u recommended. I also couldn't fit two washers between the b!tch pin piece, only one.
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 3 года назад
@@lurice0 Probably there could be a slight difference with the dimension of the shifter linkage T-joint of other Civic models. Sometimes, hoses may have the same sizes but have a difference with its inner dimension. For the washers, maybe you can try a thinner washers or try bending the bracket a little bit to make room for the washers to fit in. Sorry for that bro. I didn't expect that there was a difference. Just keep on making some adjustments until it works and suits your preference. Hope you finish it soon bro.

Hi! I want to use some ball bearings on my eg3. Shold i pick 9-17mm and 5-13mm, or does a hose widen up to match a pipe it inserts into? And what is a width of hoses you used? Bearings are cheap, but i dont want to buy extra if i dont need them)

This might be a dumb question but if I'll be using metal bushings are the guides (the ones you put in the fuel hose) necessary?
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 4 года назад
No sir. The metal bushing will become the guide itself. Just make sure that the size of the diameter is close or fit to the bolt. It's okay bro, others might be wondering too. All of us want to make sure about the things we get into, so there's no problem with your question afterall. Godspeed bro!

I have a 06 g35 and it has a boot over that shift linkage area where the linkage and shifter meet . It ripped and I’m replacing it should I take off dust first and then put grease and finally put boot over it ? What kind of grease do I use ?
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 4 года назад
Hello Roger Moreno! It depends on the process. I apologize because i couldn't visualize the structure of the g35. But it seems like theres nothing wrong with what you have said as long as it is convenient and nothing restricts the way. Yes, you should put grease before you put the boot over it. I advise you to use a synthetic grease because it is safe and designed for rubber materials like boots and etc. It provides good lubrication for metal parts too. I hope this helps you out. Thank you and God Bless!

I have a Nissan pulsar and I’m not getting 5th gear and my shifter rod bushing have failed . Do you think this will solve my problem
@DraftProject
@DraftProject Год назад
Yeah, it might help. Reducing clearances into the linkage and rod will increase precision for gear shifting. It will be harder to shift with a loose rod. Take note that this is not applicable to cable type shifter linkage. There are Nissan Pulsar that has cable types. If you have a shifter linkage like mine, you can try this mod.

@DraftProject

Can I ask you a question? My Honda Civic DX '97 is stuck on reverse. I freely move it to different shift when the engine is off. I remember turning the engine while the gear is on reverse cuz I was having a hard time shifting to reverse while the engine is on. What should I do? Any suggestion will be appreciated.
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 4 года назад
Hi sir! Based on your situation, i will start on smaller things, not jumping on the conclusions that will cost alot more. Let's start with the transmission fluid. Have you changed the fluid? If not, an old transmission fluid will cause the gearings to wear out and making it hard to shift on different gears. The other one to look for is the clutch hydraulic system. How does the pedal feel? Does it feel firm or spongy? If it is spongy, it means that there is air on the system which decreases the pressure when you depressed the clutch pedal. With that situation, it will be hard for you to shift especially on reverse gear. It's natural that you can freely shift on different gears when the engine is off since there is no rotation on the engine, clutch and transmission gears. When the engine is on, everything is rotating and connected. When you press the clutch pedal, it will disconnect the engine shaft to the transmission shaft, causing the gearings not to move in motion. That is the time where you can change your gears since there is no rotation on the gearings. If you have air on your clutch hydraulic system, the clutch cannot fully disconnect the engine and transmission, causing it only to reduce the movement of the gearings. When the gear is rotating, you cannot shift to different gear. Please check how the clutch pedal feels. If it is spongy, bleed it and see if that fixes the problem.
@DraftProject
@DraftProject 4 года назад
I also have a tutorial video for bleeding the clutch system. Here is the link below. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TeJA281yzN8.html
