My Sequoia broke a sway bar link, which then stabbed through the outer CV boot causing a big mess and a cv joint that was now exposed to the elements. The sway bar links had been replaced and have a lifetime warranty, but I was on my own for the CV boot. The service manual says to disassemble the inner cv joint to replace the outer boot, but I didn't want to buy a boot or clamps for the joint that was still good, so I used a method that I recently discovered. I'll link below some products that I used.
