Love how so many people are critiquing this guys moonwalk in the video when he wasn't trying to do a perfect moonwalk, he was just trying to demonstrate the techniques behind it. This is why his moves were exaggerated and long because he wanted to more clearly demonstrate the move so you can see and understand it better. This isn't a "best moonwalk ever" vid, it is a tutorial.

Of all the people I've seen doing the moonwalk....NOBODY comes close to MJ. And I really don't know why....He just did it so smooth. And it's been so long...I would have thought someone would have mastered it by now.

i searched a few tutorial and this is the clearest. Because it starts of pointing out the common mistakes, especially about keeping the toe up and also big strikes. I am doing it with my 5 year old daughter and we can both do a very basic version of moonwalk after following the instruction. Thumb up for the instructor!

From my own teaching experience, I have had success teaching exaggerated motions on movements such as the moonwalk to develop proper coordination and strength. Of course, when you are performing the moonwalk in real-time, you will not be on your toes as high or have strides as long.
