Many lose their GoPro because they do not secure their camera, so I have made this tip to secure your GoPro Hero 8 or 9 camera with at safety line. Please like video if you think this is a good tip!
One other solution, use 50lb braided fishing line (Braid, not mono or poly). It's thin enough to go through that hole on the bottom of the fingers, and will handle a lot of abuse.
I think its a good idea. I also think there is missing some point to fix the leash. But I think, the idea putting the leash between the legs, should be also good enough as long as breaking the metal screw is equally hard as breaking the hinges. Anyway you got 2 thumbs up from me. We may find later some cooperation with you kiting and my floating tripod
Interesting floating tripod for kitesurfing or windsurfing. Maybe the color of the legs should be different than orange as that you seen them too clearly on the footage
bloody gopro want us to lose our cameras . they probably sack anyone in the company who suggest . "hey boss lets put a tethering loop/hook on the gopro" "piss of you're Fired "
I feed a small cable tie through the flat hole at the bottom of the 2 legs next to the camera body. You gently pull the cable tie through with pliers. Now you have a loop to attach a cord. Seems to also work. Cheers Rod.
Unfortunately I wouldn't trust a tether attached to the bottom mount, because some people have had the camera snap off the mount itself. I don't know if the screws come loose or if they all snap off, but people have lost the camera and been left with just the mount still attached.
