I can’t tell you how much this helped. No one tells you there is no stop switch when it’s coming up. That you have to let go at the appropriate time. Thank you so much.
Those clevis pins have a way of coming loose and when it does it is goodbye anchor. I take some bare solid strand 12awg wire and run it through the hole in the clevis pin and tie it around the clevis that way the pin doesn't get too loose and fall out. Thanks for the tips I will be installing another unit on the back corner of my pontoon boat. Had one at the front for 20 years now.
The new Deckhand 40 came today and it has mounting hardware included. The rubber washers that come with it are about 1/4" thick. It says right on the box "mounting hardware included." Made a template like Burkholder showed in "Easy deckhand 40 anchor install."
