When inputting/outputting programs, FG and BG folders should match. However, background edit is typically used to access and edit and separate program within the CNC while a part program is currently running. This way you can multitask by changing a program without interrupting production. Whenever you are done with BG edit functions, always select BG ALL END to exit from the BG edit function.
