LOL this made me go from “Yes, please help me” to “ugh I feel like an idiot” 😂 I guess I need to buy some more bathroom handtowels. I seriously might have to try the wristbands (suggestions for a quick dry version?)
I thought I was the only one making a waterfall happen on my shirt, sink and floor 💀 I remember I was sleeping over at my friend's and she asked "did you just have another shower or something?" but thank you Dr Shah for giving us a solution! ✨
I think what I appreciate the most is how Dr. Shah only has the water running when he’s rinsing, rather than leaving it running the entire time he’s sudsing up. People waste SO MUCH WATER letting the tap run when brushing teeth, washing dishes, etc. It doesn’t take much effort at all to turn the tap off until needed… So thanks, Doc, for modeling good ecological behavior as well!
@@quesoqueso7598 Look at it this way first: it goes the same place the toilet water (and contents) when you flush. There’s a huge process after that. If you live in a place without a treatment facility, you probably have a septic tank, in which case the water eventually seeps into the ground. If you are in a location with a wastewater treatment plant (what they used to call “sewage plants”), they first filter out the “larger particles” (think “solids”from flushing and spoiled rotting food from the garbage disposal). Then they use special bacteria to break down other organic compounds in the water. Then they blast it with chemicals (usually chlorine) to remove as much of the remaining bacteria as they can. After this, it’s usually considered “clean enough” to be allowed to flow back into a “local body of water”, which (depending on where you live) is often the ocean. With many, many places experiencing drought, hotter weather, longer fire seasons and an aging infrastructure (with old pipes leaching lead and lots of water leaking out underground), letting fresh water just run down the drain is not about the money, it’s about wasting a resource that is actually NOT infinite, especially as the drinkable water becomes more scarce and more polluted. And really, how much effort does it take to turn the tap off and then on again when washing face or hair or brushing teeth? Have we become that lazy?
@@quesoqueso7598 yes literally, piss and whatever goes down the drain is all recycled with the water and then used again through the tap and also drinking water too
LOL!!! This made me laugh. Happens to me every time I wash my face in the sink. Our sink is the size of a thimble. I've been using the towel method for years. :)
You trim your beard to high it makes your face look rounder, if you measure 1 inch from your Adams apple and shave from there it will make your beard and face look alot better. There's videos about DiCaprio doing it and the different side by sides. 👍
Water running down your arm is most water on the back of your hand, I make sure both side are clean then when I splash water on I also touch the back of my hand to my face really quick and then lather, and the process take shorter because you’re not letting half the water stuck to you run off, also lather upward people, don’t drag, gravity is doing enough work for you to add extra weight to those bags
I gave a dude I was seeing a facial…. You would have thought I showed him a new religion but he swore he’d never repeat that he enjoyed it to another human being 🙄🤣 I absolutely adore that you’re so positive on self care and skin care for EVERYONE 🥰 break those stigmas!
Hey Dr.Shah, I see what you did there with the "Khaby Lame" hand pointing at the end 😏 I'd like to pretend my mama taught me how to wash my face but yeh I'm so the "before" in this scenario 😫 I'm here taking notes 🧐✍
I wash my face in the shower even when I'm fully clothed and not showering. It's easier because all you need to do is to lean forward a bit when rinsing and if you angle your head correctly, you're not gonna make a waterfall on your shirt because the water will just drop from your chin right to the floor.
@@sarahmcneil846 idk what you mean by powerful but mine has a decent pressure and it's adjustable. Or you can just treat your showerhead like you treat the tap on your sink. Use your hands to take the water and then rinse your face with that water, just like you would if you're washing your face at the sink. The problem about washing your face at the sink is that water ends up being outside of the sink bowl, and this prevents that. If you wash your face at the sink like a normal person, I don't see why using the same method but doing it in the shower won't work.
*Me* : Walks into sporting goods store for head and wrist sweatbands *Employee* : Ready for an intensive work out I see 🤓, What sport do you play? *Me* : 🥴 ..water-sports?🤥 *Employee* : 🤨
I'm afraid to wash my face with both eyes closed when I'm home alone. I gotta do one side at a time, keep one eye open...drip on over to the towel rack and dry the wet side before I can go back in and get the other half.
Literally just use a washcloth to rinse, no point at all in splashing water on your face when a wet washcloth does it just fine (repeat 3 times, wringing it out between each time you wipe it over your face)
Have a bigger sink. Lean in with face and arms. Have the towel near and ready. Have a towel like bath mat under the sink. Dust your sink-cabinet using oil based wood cleaner. Have a rag in the cabinet to dry the sink and cabinet after. Also rag for the mirror... or just use the garden hose
Lol!! You can wipe your face down w a towel to wet it and then after rubbing the soap in You can wash it off by wetting the towel and wiping the soap off with it. Rinse the towel and repeat. Hope that makes sense
What i do is wrap the towel around my neck, it catches the water dripping. If you're saying "there's a huge gap in front of your chest" put the towel the other way around so the opening would be in the back.
Easy peasy. Keep your head down and keep your elbows pointed straight back and not towards the ground. Don't give that dang water a chance to run down your arms.
I put my left hand in front of me like a 45 degrees downwards and wash with my right hand.... most of the water falls on my left hand and slips into the basin... also I bend my body almost at 135 degrees so that the water doesn't fall on my body
