Great to hear about improved health. Zain is awesome. #2 specialist imo to the almighty Mackay. The tiniest of gripes would be that the med pen is a tad redundant given his trait…but I guess you don’t always kill the player.

Zain is my go to specialist now, before him it was Espinoza (CQC), Rao (Anti Vehicle) and Falck (obviously)

Me too, I used to main Mackay and Sundance. I don't like switching to medpen and away from my gun when enemies are nearby so Zain's health regen is a great middle ground for me even if it takes a bit longer.

I've actually found him quite useful mainly playing with the rorsch 4 or xm80 with ammo crate. I've found his perseverance quite useful especially when retreating from a fallen objective whilst punishing the enemies that took it lol. I put him in my top 4 aggressive specialists which are Mackay, falck, Zain and Sundance

He’s a decent specialist. The Airburst isnt too OP so far and fits, unlike grapplehook and wallhack. And the trait is perfect. This is what all specialist should have had, something like increased reload speed, ADS, etc.

I've been going hard at his Tier 1while at the same time going after T1 on the railgun. I basically use his airburst as my main gun while only sniping mid-long range with the rail gun. This isn't the optimal way to play, but it is for a T1 grind. The way to get this to work is to lock in the distance in advance of an encounter so you can no-scope shoot. So for example, when you run into an enemy point blank, you just shoot like a shotgun without ADS and fire 3x's...you'll win more that way than trying to set the distance.

I've abandoned the engineer class in favor of zane, and I just happened to run the class just like you described! the airburst is an amazing anti-headglitch tool, and 60 kill games come easy as long as armor is avoided. Really great specialist!

That gadget is so OP, i always run irish now when defending as that grenade launcher wipes an entire defending team bundles together lol but when attacking its so satisfying

I just focus on the airburst and don't pay attention to the health regen. He's my favorite operator when playing aggressively. No hiding behind walls.

My current setups for Zain is NVK-S22, NVK-P125, Armor Plate and Incendiary Grenade, quite effective CQB in BT mode especially C2 flag, this just give me more buff to counter enemies before the traits kicks in. Can't imagine when specialist update that we can equip both med pen and armor plate together. this will give assault class OP, both Zain and Mackay

I think heavy transports should rarely feel threatened, the fact they always have to run away from 50 rockets ruins their purpose as a transport. I also think transports shouldn’t really threaten infantry, the main threat should be the infantry exiting the transport. So I would handle it this way: increase transport health dramatically and remove at least one weapon station from each vehicle, replacing them with passenger seats. Then put weapons (relatively weak ones) at the control of the driver/pilot. Players need to be encouraged to use them for transport and then get the hell out and fight!

I would also mention there is an option under accessabilty tab to turn off the visual effect of his passive, I found this out recently. the insane sharpening to blurring was massivily off putting. but otherwise a great video! I t1'd Crawford a few weeks back and was waiting for Zain to finish off Speciallist T1 grind!

This guy had a story fact written in his Season 3 intro web page that said he had lost both legs and was equipped with prosthetics. Something like that. So why not incorporate that into his gameplay and let him have a (rechargeable) faster sprint speed, for example. Chargeable higher jump height, deeper drop depth without damage. Something like that. Those open shafts in the ceiling in the factory cubes are made for that. Watching the trailer, they struck me as a thematic "marketing" opportunity for the new Specialist. Why do they even bother writing this lame uninspired story page, but then leave him with an otherwise unremarkable, boring generic visual design and an ability that just doesn't make any sense at all.

Health regen is extremely strong for being super aggressive and offensive. I dont feel that the airburst goes with that playstyle, its more like a "Stand outside objecive and fire onto it" support gaget

Lmfao fucking obviously his passive isn’t gonna heal like a med pen 💀 That passive is elite because it’s ON TOP of a med pen and I can’t tell you how many times it’s gotten me out of a jam. That heal is spectacular. I’m gonna be honest guys.. this is a horrible review of zain and almost feels like a person who didn’t run him enough to be effective. I maxed every character out and zain is truly top 3 or 4. Air burst and perseverance are S tier abilities. Make no mistake about it
