Also worth noting: when using her EMG scanner not only are you spotted on mini map for entire enemy team but you get a red dot over your head. This makes it easy for enemy aircraft, tanks, or snipers to take you out from hundreds of meters away. Using her scanner can be extremely dangerous, other times it’s not too bad. Very situational and like you said in video depends on how good enemy team is. But once using her scanner enemies who are 100-200+ meters away can see you with a red dot over your head (in addition to being mini map spotted) which is nonsense. Enemy vehicles love it when paik uses her scanner as she has a red dot over her head for 8 full seconds. Aircraft who normally wouldn’t see you now suddenly see your exact location both visually and on mini map when activating her scanner.. very lame. They really nerfed her scanner badly
she's great with elevation and finding campers. I wish she had Bloodhounds ability to see warm footprints too, or just footprints without having to use her scan.
Dozer next? :) I've been having a lot of fun with him on Breakthrough. Use the shield to close the distance or give yourself some time to get behind cover, use a shotgun so you can get players who pull out explosives, the 12m and shield are great together.
Smoke + Scanner + C4 are effective in my opinion specially enemies in corners camping while you and your team mates are engaging, c4 as well can make Paik flexible vs aggressive vehicles
She's a team player, not a lone wolf character like you played her. I run her with the prox sensor and scan when enemies are attacking or my team is attacking. Running around lone wolf with her is not really the right way.
Suppressors aren’t bugged I think the description is just wrong. Regular suppressors have a specified effective range. Heavy suppressors always work. Paik is underpowered imo…I think the spot should only work within the scanners range, and the spot should pulse rather than being constant.
Her ability downfall doesn't seem that bad, since you're probably on the mini map with all of the spotting items in this game anyway. Prox grenade, the recons drone, soflam, the spotting seat in helos and heavy vehicles.
Oh no, it’s pretty bad. The entire enemy team of 30+ players can see your EXACT location for 8 seconds, also you get a big red dot over your head for enemies to see to make matters worse- even if the enemies are 200-300 meters away, your still spotted for the entire enemy team both visually (red dot your head) and 2D on the mini map. Which is ridiculous as snipers and vehicles/aircraft can easily spot you from any distance. Since using her scanner puts a red dot over your head for enemies to easily spot you (in addition to being spotted on mini map) this makes is super easy for aircraft, tanks, or snipers to kill you as they can see the red dot over your head from hundreds of meters away… While your scanner only works a mere 25 meters, and yet gives away your position to everyone. I have thousands and thousands of kills and assists as paik and went to like her, but her ability got nerfed so badly she’s really not that good. Proxy sensor works better than her scanner and doesn’t give away your position to 30+ enemies. Proxy sensor also last longer and spots enemies on mini map for team and puts a red dot over their head for Allies to see - which is Very useful for allied tanks or aircraft. For some odd reason paiks EMG scanner doesn’t put red dots over enemies heads for teammates to see, it only mini map spots them which is lame. It’s the only recon ability that doesn’t put red dots over enemies heads for Allies to see, so they really nerfed the crap out of her scanner. If the developers give paik a minor buff (such as increase scanner range by 5-10 meters and make it so only enemies within scanner range can see her location, instead of the entire enemy team seeing your exact location with a freaking red dot over your head) she would be a lot more useful.
@@avenger4cats72 Nah , you're spotted pretty much all the time with the amount of prox sensors and Boris's turrets , so being spotted for 8 seconds while getting wallhacks is not a bad tradeoff
@@fb6039 You have to be within 15-20 meters of the proxy sensor to even get spotted, and they don’t track you if you move out of their range. You can also disable them when close. Using her EMG scanner makes you spotted for everyone on enemy team, even if they are 200 meters away in a helicopter. It doesn’t make sense. It’s not a fair trade off for a 25 meter scan for everyone to see you no matter how far they are. Someone 26 meters away? You see nothing and the entire team sees you. Her scanner range should be longer 25m is just so short. Not saying her ability is useless, not at all, but her getting spotted for entire enemy team to see for using it simply too much. There are plenty of times where I am not spotted by anything, and ready to make a move, but as soon as activating EMG scanner boom now you’re broadcasting your location to entire enemy team. Last thing you want to do is spot yourself when like you said there are already plenty of ways to get spotted, this is just another unnecessary way. If only enemies who are within the 25 meter range can see her on location, then the trade off would be fair
@@avenger4cats72 I get it but it's not a big deal when you and many other teammates are already spotted for the enemy team in so many ways. Simply firing spots you for 5 seconds so PLENTY of players are spotted , it's not like you activate the scanner and you're the only one spotted...there's plenty and a lot of distractions already for players that are far from you.
Are they bugged? I wonder if they're purposely meant to show people within 10 meters where you are when you fire. Outside of that range, it works fine, yes?
If you fire a suppressor right next to me, I can still hear it. The light suppressors (wrapped and 6ku) mirror that by having you still show up in close proximity, but keeping you off the map to enemies a bit further away so that the person you cap doesn’t immediately have all his buddies swarming you. The heavy suppressors keep you off the map…period. I also would theorize there is a difference in damage or bullet velocity between the two types of suppressors.
@@Toketsuromen Yeah I could see that being a possibility however the descriptions of the suppressors are all the same so its either a bug or the descriptions are wrong. If the differences are as you say they are seems unnecessary to have variations imo
Yeah their descriptions are a mess and their stats pages could be a bit more clear on some effects. Hell, there are some guns that don’t even get fire rate changes when equipping shorter barrels or non-hipower ammo (looking at you sws and 45gvt…actually any sniper). And if it does change it’s too minuscule and needs to be a bit noticeable. As far as the suppressors, they definitely need to make it more apparent if their current functionality is their intention. I personally kinda like the variety so I like it how it is. However, Dice needs to let the people know so they aren’t confused y’know?
So the graphics look like junk to me. Is that true for this game? And is it worth buying this game? I liked BF5....I know I know, but it was the first one I played and it was a good shift from BOCW.
It probably looks so poor because you have to run the game on all low graphical settings to get it to run well on a PC. I would not recommend this game, even if you enjoyed Battlefield V. They are vastly different.
When you can't be bothered to develop an effective anti cheat system, just give the cheaters a baked in wall hack ability and now no more problems smfh. Same with the no scoreboard...... No more unbalanced teams if you can't 'see' any details. I'm done with BF for now. Insurgency sandstorm and www3 in 2022
