Top notch stuff! Always seen the trains heading in your direction but never knew what they actually did! Always good to see the other side of the rail operations! Definitely need to get some model railway stuff done from Ashville! How about some lorries eh ;)

Great test on the cameras capabilities. I have to say I am impressed with the quality of the camera and the multiple ways of getting a better quality image or footage. I would be happy to own one but it's out of my price range. However, if the price comes down in the near future it would be very useful for my new website and recording studio. Not really a fan of the Insta 360° 🤳 camera. I do not like the "round" distortion created and it makes me a bit 🥴 dizzy, distracting from my viewing pleasure and experience. The videos and editing are excellent overall and Daniel, you are natural in front of the camera mate!

Wow, no idea how i was guided here but im glad i was. Brilliant video. The sort of rail ballast yard that you only see from a passing train and never see anything going on. Must be a lovely working atmosphere there. Hopefully there are more like this, ill be looking out now. 👍👍

Great video as ever! Top work. Just a quick idea. It might be useful having some cameras up high like on the water tower looking over the yard that you could put in the time lapse mode so you can get shots of the trains unloading and general content for the weekly videos. Keep up the good work

A freight train unloaded in seconds in the middle of my hometown in North Carolina in 1984. The entire train pulling tankers full of methanol derailed in the center of town. Everoyone for a mile radius was evacuated due to a possible massive explosion. Luckily it didn't happen. Ever since then I've loved trains and how they operate. This video is very interesting. Learn something every day.

Something that might help the excavator operator is a wireless camera looking into the wagons. We use backup cameras around the farm all the time and its good and cheap solution if you need to keep an eye on something without climbing out of the tractor.

When off loading, you can save time by not stopping for the material to drop. Continue rotating and emptying seamlessly without changing direction.

By swinging the other way it stops you getting dizzy. I know this from a small 3 ton machine, but I guess same applies for the bigger machines.

You get dizzy, thats why you stop and swing opposite direction

@Andreika Kapeika it could but not practical when trying to quickly offload the train, also it doesn’t have scales like the loaders so if ot was going off site you wouldn’t know how much material to charge for accurately
