Hey! I just started skating 2 days ago but here's some advice from my older brother that helps alot! 1: don't put your front foot to far back. Try to keep it right behind the trucks. 2: try to learn an ollie in the grass or with your back wheels in a crack

What really helped me lately has been remembering to stay low on my board before I’m about to even fully bend down and explode upwards. I swear for me once I got the Ollie down (still working on it) skating has become way more fun to me and something I look forward to:)

Thanks for the video, people, go check 0:50 and put 0.25% speed hehe, check his right foot. Idk for you, but for me, watching that in detail helpd me a lot to know that little strenght you have to place there, so the table jumps (Won't do it if your left foot still there) and then, that left foot has to go up faster than the table for it to have more jump space

Hey bro i have a question, do you have to drag to the nose with the toes of your front foot or with the side?
@JoeyDigital
@JoeyDigital 2 года назад
I like to do it with the side of my foot. When you master that, the dragging the toes combined with an angle of front foot are the fundamentals of a kickflip.

@JoeyDigital
@JoeyDigital 2 года назад
Popping with your back foot? It’s kinda of like a fast karate kick straight down. Practice practice practice
@inquisitive1
@inquisitive1 Год назад
its moreso a pop from the ankle and ball of your foot as you’re going from your crouch position toward your jump and then as soon as you feel that board snap off the ground you want to slide the front foot up the dip of the nose to catch and lift the feet up to your hips with that back knee bent ofcourse. another tip for the front foot is thinking of pointing the knee in that direction whilst the side of the foot makes contact with the grip toward the nose the entire time. also allow time for your legs to naturally compress back down, don’t straighten them as the rigidness won’t help with your balance when landing.

@JoeyDigital 2 года назад
Getting it higher in the air takes a lot more practice. Just do not stop trying and it will start working. I’ll be working on a more detailed video soon!
@danarrington2224
@danarrington2224 2 года назад
@@JoeyDigital The key to a high ollie is timing. The later you wait to pop your tail the more height you can get. I suggest getting the motion wired first but without a skateboard. Watch his body movement throughout the process and duplicate his "jump" motion without a board. You should push with both legs to start the jump then when your legs are almost straight, pop the tail and pull the board up to your body by dragging your front foot toward the nose. Basically you are jumping in the air and your board is simply coming along for the ride. Good Luck!!

How do you twist your ankle to drag?
@JoeyDigital
@JoeyDigital 2 года назад
when you suck your knees up when you jump. It will give you clearance to slide/drag your ankle/foot up the board to level out board. Hope that helps.
