Amazing video! Question for you. When doing the ornaments, why did you choose the notes that you did for the viola and cello? The cello reenforces the bass. That makes sense to me. What about the viola?
Thank you for question... All stringed instruments (cello, viola, violin) are homogeneous with clarinet, which mean you can easily use in unison. It depends on your choice. But there are a little bit difference between in my choice. For example, if i give ''A - note ornament'' to violins it will on G string. G string is first string, which have a thick and heavy sounding..So, in unsion of "clarinet chalumeau + G str of Violins" = violin G is dominate. What about the violas? So, viola play it in G string, but this is second string of Viola, which is not thick like G string of Violin..Therefore, in unison of "clarinet chalumeau + G string of violas = clarinet dominate. This is a first reason, why i choose violas...
Second reason is that, because of the timbre of violas, it blend all woodwinds..And don't dominate over the woodwind timbres..Therefore, if you want to reinforce clarinet, you would be better to choose violas. And you will get more "reinforced clarinet sound"
