A hypertensive crisis brought me to my senses. Stopped sugar then started keto, have lost 87 pounds, and feel better at age 64 than I did through the previous 20 years.
I have been keto for 2 months. My IBS and general health was in the gutter. I actually woke up one day feeling so terrible that I felt that I was about to have a serious problem if I didn't change. I've been keto before and it was the best I have ever felt. This time I feel way better, but I am still having issues. So I have just started on carnivore and plan to transition to the lion diet after a few weeks. My plan is to find out what foods I can and can't eat by eliminating almost all foods as per the lion diet. Once I feel confident in my weight and health issues subsiding, I will slowly introduce other foods, however there are some foods I plan to never eat again such sugars, grains and bad oils. I do like the idea of being able to eat more of a paleo approach eventually to sustain me for the rest of my life.
It is so true. I fell off of the wagon tonight as I listened to this. I have been craving ice cream. I am allergic to milk. While at the grocery store, I spotted Daisy ice cream bars with a coffee coating. I broke down and bought one. I had a very healthy dinner...all Whole Foods. I turned this program on and the more that they talked about sugar, the more I wanted that ice cream. I broke down and got one. I sat here and ate it. Shortly after eating it, I felt a burning sensation from the inside out and I became very hot and then cold. I sat here thinking....I remember having that happen to me in the past, but it has been a very long time. I had been sugar free until tonight for 6 months. I lost 35+ pounds. As of now, I am back on the wagon. In a sick way, I am kind of glad that I did this though because I had always thought that I was having hot flashes...now I am aware that it was in fact sugar flashes. My body was having an adverse reaction to sugar. Lesson learned.
Gave in a few times myself, having a klondike bar here and there. But went right back on it the next day with no guilt trips about it. We are only human.
Approaching 1 year anniversary for going 99.9% sugar free (I recognize there is hidden sugar in some foods eaten in restaurants) At age 64, it's been an amazing transformation. (the list is too long to share!) I wasn't a total slag before, but I could never conquer the "cravings" and addiction. The biggest obstacle is not what you would think. We all have access to info, but it's figuring out how to live sugar-free in a home where other members of the household eat sugary foods that is often the biggest challenge. I do crossfit 5x a week and I'm actually getting measurably stronger each month~! I feel like I could write more about the strategies but not here. Not today. If you're questioning your sugar consumption at all, it's probably time to give it a go. If you fail, get back on the bus!
@@chubbydearest I eat 2 meals a day and I also skip meals. I eat lots of salads with everything in them. Beets, peas, cukes, goat cheese, peppers, greens galore, sprouts, nuts, seeds eggs, grilled tuna/salmon or meat you like. All of this can be prepped in advance. I found grain-free wraps and tortillas for egg and tuna and veggie sandwiches. I eat high quality tasty fruit and unprocessed nuts as snacks. Apples and citrus and occasional banana with whole fat unsweetened yogurt are fast and easy. I got out of the habit of eating packaged and processed foods. I was extremely strict for the first 6 months because I started this journey right before Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! I've made it through 2 years now and still have not eaten any cakes, pies, ice cream etc. My friends bought me a birthday cake for 65 and I blew out the candles and then watched them eat it! hahaha. I at a bowl of plain fruit. You'll find your way and you'll discover the things that work for you. I will experiment now with natural foods. One time I tasted raw honey which has beneficial micro-nutrients. But I found the "taste" to be unpalatable to me. My joints feel great. I am still crossfitting 5-6 days a week. I'm so glad I did it!!
Day six of my sugarless journey and the cravings have stopped! It's an amazing feeling, just like when I quit smoking and alcohol. I'm on a low carb diet, just found out my supermarket sells zero-carb rice and I'm going to make a wonderful Nasi.
This is day 1 of me quitting sugar. I'm sick of the excess weight sick of the feeling like crap more than anything and sick of craving sugar after my meals .. I'll update how I feel ..
It’s just sad because we’re not meant to think this hard about our food. We have to think so hard about every single decision we make anymore. It’s very stressful. Although I will say the less sugar and fast food, I eat the better I feel. Are usually focus on making my sleep the best I can and at least getting a walk in yoga in in the morning if nothing else. My life has gotten drastically better since then.
Good podcast. I think it’s great all 3 of you are reaching out to our youth and ‘younger’ generations as what we eat is truly important for our own health and for our 1 world at large. I think if food education can entertain and educate without being preachy that will help everyone. Looking forward to watching that documentary when it comes out.
I once heard someone say, “If you want to lose weight-Dump your fat friends.” Same thing with alcohol. But dumping my friends that eat sugar? I’d be a hermit.
bottom line being sick sucks, the pleasures of sugar are not equal nor worth it in the long run, wanna die young, eat sugar and lots of carbs - wish my wife would get with keto
I just had kidney cancer surgery. I noticed my appetites and overwhelming urges we're gone in the hospital so I decided to try and change in a large way how I eat while I felt that way. I hope it works because the carb urges are hard to kick.
I am having an emotional day overall & since im on a very restrictive diet to heal eczema its but a battle to stop thinking of sugar. BUT this video helped so so much!!! all the information was motivating & meeting other people who dealt with the sugar addiction AND actually change their lives gives me hope.
I'm a total sugar addict. I've lost a load of weight through fasting but recently have been having more and more sugar during my eating window. People think I'm super healthy but I'm not. I just exercise a hell of a lot and stick to my calorie intake. I really need to make a change.
I was addicted to sugar for a long time, exercised and taught aerobics too. But I was always jumpy and felt hormonally imbalanced. I did a 180 and really had to change my mindset of eating. I eat more Whole Foods now. No more donuts or sweets in the morning, no sugar in my morning coffee. It’s possible.👍🏽
@@lhrdst1 I'm sorry I totally missed your message.. ugh still struggling. Thinking I'm going to start Whole 30 again after the weekend. I'm so sick of feeling so controlled by a substance. I think I may try avoiding coffee as it triggers the desire for chocolate. Any tips would be welcomed as I'm sick of this addiction 😭
@@henac123 I know its hard - I used to have a candy drawer at home and at work! I am seeing a doctor who recommended a food diary, I try to incorporate Meatless Mondays and plan to try Keto. What best helps me is doing another activity when I get cravings (adult coloring books, Take a walk, Write in my Journal with Green Tea with out sugar). Its possible - your body, heart and mind will thank you. Wishing you Love and Light. : )
I watched something on youtube that was like: how I felt after 30 days sugar free and I thought: I WANT THAT. So I did cold turkey and was off sugar for almost a year. At first it was kind of white-knuckle but then I started to feel free. So I tried a "moderate" thing with sugar __ I'M NOT SOMEONE WHO CAN BE MODERATE WITH SUGAR. PERIOD. Best of luck, kid..@@henac123
Great information guys. Thank you for inspiring me to be more healthy. Sugar has been a major vice and addiction in my life, but after watching this discussion I am definitely going to make an effort to stop eating sugar.
Lactose tolerance is such a funny thing when you're travelling to southern Europe as a Northener: we always buy a two or three day stock of whole milk in the supermarket - and the locals sometimes ask if the kids drink that much.... the look on their faces when they are told that we don't have issues drinking half a gallon after a day in the ocean. 😁 It's almost as though you tell them: "we make our morning coffee with vodka instead of water!"
As I sit here at 302 lbs a nurse I am so upset bc we tell people to eat this way. I started 2 weeks ago keto I was shocked how veggies even have carbs. I stood in grocery in tears bc I just didnt know what to eat. For life I diet and ate "healthy" I though feeling like weak loser bc I couldn't lose weight and all along it's been food. Thank you for sharing. I am still confused but I am aware sugar is hinden everywhere.
I honestly believe keto is NOT good for you. All the animal products are terrible for you. Try eating whole food plant based. Read up on Drs Esselstyn, McDougal and Fuhrman. Carbs, whole food carbs. are not bad. They are the basis of a healthy diet. You can do this. I did and I'm never going back. Plus you can eat quite a lot of food because the caloric density in plant foods is so much lower than animal products.
When I stalled out after 6 months of keto and 60 lbs down I gave up all the keto treats and ate more fat , it got me started again. Unfortunately the holidays arrived and I did more keto treats. Not the way to go all those nut butters and nuts in excess. Stick with high fat MEAT AND EGGS and small amounts of whole vegetables and berries.
I've just come off sugar after a lifelong struggle with chocolate addiction (I'll be 47 next month). I've been trying to get help from my doctor, but she just said what all others say: try to switch to eating dark chocolate. In Switzerland, food addiction is not recognised. After many years of struggeling, I was near to join the AA - just to receive some kind of addiction support - I was THAT desperate. To make things worse - even though I ate copious amounts of chocolate - I've never surpassed a BMI of 24, which meant I fall in the "normal" range. Also my blood sugar tests were always normal. I was finally able to kick the habit 6 weeks ago and not only do I feel fantastic, but also extremely proud I've made it this far.. I never want to become a slave to chocolate (and sugar) again 🙏🏼 - it's still early days.. but everyone has to start with day1..
I'm literally in the same boat... I've always loved chocolate since I was a kid and would have loved to have it everyday but as a kid you have to listen to your parents lol... so up until i was under their jurisdiction haha my chocolate was still controlled in some form... 6 years ago i went into a personal calamity and to get over that hurt i started consuming chocolate just to make myself feel better. And so everytime I'd feel down, I would look forward to my day ending and having copious amounts of chocolate right after my dinner. That became my thing to the point where from eating chocolate maybe once a week, I started having it everyday. And now I can literally have 1 whole pouch of twix in one sitting, and still not feel satisfied. I know I'm definitely a sugar addict but i just dont know how to stop. Coming to the main point, do you have any advices or tips, that felt helped you cut out sugar? For me its not any other kind of sweet, like now its come to the point that even if I have like an ice cream or tiramisu, or cake... if its not chocolate, it doesn't do anything for me. So then I'm eating sugar on top of sugar! HELP!
Must read the book THE POWER OF THE MIND Dr Wilson buy this book WILL MAKE YOU A LEADER AND NOT A CHICKEN LIKE OUR GOVERNMENT WANT ALL US A BUNCH OF CHICKEN WITH NO MIND AND you will controlled anything of course the diet😊 and your mind will eliminate all SUGAR , CIGARETTES ALCOHOL AND WILL NOT TAKE NO MORE SHIT FROM POLITICIANS 😊😊😊🌟🌟🌟
Sugary stuff only keep you hungry. Eating a dessert and thinking that you had a meal is like drinking a coffee and thinking that that will replace sleep. I always crave some nutrient dense foods after I skipped a meal by having some sweets. Meat, sweet potataoes and butter - all that the body needs.
I understood decades ago that I am a sugar addict. The first book on the topic that I remember reading was entitled LICK THE SUGAR HABIT. 30 years ago…? I participated in several different 12-step programs for food/eating and interestingly most of them saw food problems as a spiritual issue and trying to control my physical food addiction issues with prayer did nothing but waste time and increase my frustration as I gained more and more weight! I have nothing against prayer it just doesn’t work for everything in my experience… Then I discovered food addicts anonymous and that’s when I really started getting it. Yes, I’d already read LICK THE SUGAR HABIT but I needed the support of others like me to do what needed to be done. And it wasn’t just sugar that I had problems with. I learned a lot in that group. I learned that sugar has almost 300 names! I learned that flour is recognized by my body as SUGAR and that it had to go too. I also learned that I had no idea what a reasonable portion of any food was and I needed to learn about that too. I learned that eating at almost every restaurant was the kiss of death because who knew what the chef had included in the food they cooked even when I made specific requests for specific types of preparation… The food addicts anonymous plan was strict but clear: I eat this and don’t eat that. Period. I was able to do it successfully for 5 years and then multiple disasters hit me at once and it was all I could do to keep my head above water let alone do all the work to remain abstinent from food addiction… Still… I didn’t totally give up at that point. I just tried a bunch of things that I thought might be easier and might work as well or better.. weight watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutisystem, liquid diets, medical diets (where they supply all your allegedly healthy meals WHICH ARE ALL LOADED WITH SUGAR!!! 🤬), eating just one frozen diet dinner for breakfast with nothing else the rest of the day, Smart Ones, vegetarian (I always felt hungry eating vegetarian), vegan (I think vegans must be sadistic it’s so awful 😂) etc etc… meanwhile getting fatter and fatter and more and more unhealthy…🥲 Fast forward decades and now it’s as if the world in general has started to catch up with what I’ve known for a long time. I did manage to get away from sugar and flour again quite a while ago so I’m ahead of the game in that way. Today’s tasks are to dig out general carbohydrates and limit them and maybe even eliminate them entirely eventually. I have noticed that if I consume even a tiny bit of carbs my hunger can be drastically triggered and extremely hard to resist. So I’m thinking that just dumping all carbs actually might be the easiest way for me. Craving has always been my downfall and it’d be freeing not to have to fight craving anymore… I’m now doing keto (imperfectly) and I’m feeling better, sleeping better now and I have more energy too. I’m not trying to eat less but I do eat less because I’m just not hungry… and an unexpected bonus is that I’m saving money on food because I don’t need to buy as much of it as before which then means I can afford the safer organic non gmo grass fed free range foods 😄❤ And I’m losing weight and I don’t even feel like I’m trying to lose weight! Keto doesn’t seem like a diet to me for the most part…the only “diet-like” thing I do is to keep track of my daily carbs and keep them low. I WAS borderline diabetic a month ago and my blood pressure WAS dangerously high a month ago but not now… the physical improvements seem to be happening quickly for me 😊❤️😇 And I follow podcasts like this one and many others that are informative too and that’s helped too.
Only sugar intake I have is sweet tea and what I get in carbs, never liked candy, I could probably drop the sugar in the tea but unsweetened tea doesn't taste too good 😅 I drink a lot of water, fruit juice and protein shakes for breakfast when I don't have time to eat. Recently was diagnosed with high BP so working on changing my diet and started walking and hardly eat fast food unless it's chicken.
Your diet is terrible. Fruit juice is just sugar water. Sweet tea is absolutely toxic with sugar. Your protein shakes are probably laden with sugar. You should never be drinking your calories.
Very insightful information. Thanks for sharing and remind people that it took almost two years to get to the sugar addiction out of the system during Tom's journey (well, thanking his gilrfriend). We tend to forget that results don't show up overnight; the work that needs to get done prior to that takes time. And the realization of it will also take some time. I also think a lot about the movie "Idiocracy" a dramedy almost turning into a prophecy regarding the use of sodas as a preferred drink over water - thinking about Mountain Dew used instead of water to "water" crops, amongst other things.
I think some of the ways to eliminate sugar consumption is to meal prep - including only nutritious food in your meal prepping. Meal prepping will save you time and prevent eating out when you’re unable to prepare a meal. Discipline yourself to only buy food you need and stick to a nutritious grocery list, no additional snacks. In replacement of sugary food on your grocery list, buy fruit instead. Times where you crave something sweet, have a fruit, fruit salad or a smoothie instead. Ensure that you consume a variety of food instead of sticking to your favourite regular food to avoid malnutrition and disease because each food has a negative effect despite being “healthy”. It’s also important to consume natural sugars with moderation. Too much of anything does harm. Also manage overeating. Fill up with water after consuming just enough food to fuel up the body. Fuel up with nutrition. Water and exercise should be your lifestyle. Declutter your mind, manage stressors. Rest.
Love this. Everything you said is spot on. May I ask, as a binge eating/junk food addict, what's the best way to deal with the overwhelming cravings in the first few days/weeks as I completely eliminate it from my diet? I find that whenever I try, the urge to binge/eat those highly palatable chips/candy/etc is so overwhelming and stressful that I just give in so i can hear my mind quiet. It's a stressful, vicious cycle. You seem to be very wise and insightful, so just thought I'd ask in case you had experience/advice on this!
it was so natural and easy not to eat meat , but we have bigger problem with the sugar. just can't leave it alone. Always something :( But I believe I will handle this as I did with other bad habbits and non-healty behavior. Hope you to! Good Luck, my friend!!
It’s also hard to know what to do about the food that the schools give the kids. Even if I pack the kids lunch a lot of times they will still choose to eat the crap at school. And I’ve definitely talked with the teachers about not giving them candy and I’ll send a different snacks for them but yet they still come home with candy wrappers in their backpacks. It’s ridiculous.
I used to be a sugar addict. I guess I still am but I manage it now. I became prediabetic and one day I didn’t recognize myself in a photo someone sent me. I have really bad legs from the army and I cannot be physically active as I once was. I started intermittent fasting and cutting the sugar. So far 3 months I’m 25 pounds down. Intermittent fasting is fairly easy. Avoiding sugar is always gnawing at the back of my brain. It’s a real addiction. I started eating less and less. Before I would eat an entire bag of chocolate covered pretzels in one day. Now I may have a handful in a week but I TRY to stay away from the sweets and sugar and definitely no sugary drinks like soda. I feel sugar will always be the ghost that follows me. Every day it’s hard to say no to sugar but I want to be healthy for my Son who has special needs and be there for him when he is older. My girlfriend was not a fan of my new choice but when she saw the results she hopped on board. It’s a lot easier when you have someone to support you and you can do the same for them. Good luck to everyone trying to kick sugar. One day at a time!
It’s been a week of cutting out anything with sugar, no processed and no fast food and I’m feeling so much better, less bloat and so much more awake/alert in the morning. I’m trying to cut out Best Foods mayo but my whole family cannot tolerate sandwiches without it. lol
Thank you for inspiration.❤❤❤ I am on the verge to give up sugars. So doing some research/inspiration. Cancer can develop only in acidic environment and sugar is quite acidic substance.❤
What is the name of Keegan and Tom's documentary? I would like to watch/listen to it. I am so addicated to sugar and have been all my life. I'm in my late 50s and I really need to get a grasp on my eating too much sugar.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BWGl3TIO00A.html I just watched this video that dr. Hyman did on how to quit sugar in 10 days. He said it is best to just quit all at once
Eat fat oh, plenty of healthy fat, and you will hardly miss the sugar. The fat is what your body really wants. They made all the food low fat and in order to make up for it they added tons of sugar. Eat vegetables loaded with plenty of olive oil and nice spices. Have a bulletproof coffee every morning with a tablespoon of coconut oil on a tablespoon of butter in it, grass-fed butter. You will be absolutely amazed at how long you can go on that fuel and you will quickly get over your desire for carbs and sugar. You can do it.
idk about other people but i'm absolutely convinced it's a hard yes. you have to treat it like the drug it is, and expel it completely from your life. and then you have to dig in and stay focused on the light at the end of the tunnel because the next few weeks to few months (everyone is different) are going to S U C K. the withdrawal process is absolutely abyssmal, at least it is for me. to this day i still have crippling fiending episodes if i see some shit that i used to consume by the truckload and it can take me upwards of an hour of raw focus to power through that. i ragewatch stuff like this when this happens because the spite i feel for a society that allows this kind of thing to happen is sometimes enough to get me by. i'm about a month out from my most recent breakdown and i'm sitting on the couch, focusing only on NOT breaking down and going to the store. reciting in my head that once this fucking sickness passes out of my head in an hour or so, i'll feel functional again. the longer you go without, the less often it happens. it fucking sucks and most people won't understand, but you have to do whatever it takes, even if it means sitting on the couch ragewatching tom hopper for an hour every other day lol. sometimes a nap also helps get through the worst of it. you also have to be real with your friends and family and make sure they aren't putting shit in front of you, because they will. you have to make sure they know you're being dead-serious. and if they aren't on-board and aren't giving you the amount of patience you need, you might have to stop seeing them for a while. nothing about this is easy, you have to know that up front, but i think that knowledge is essential, because you have to adequately prepare for the actual difficulty of the sugar purge or you will fail. best of luck
I gave it all up for a week. Then I would treat myself to a half a spoonful in my coffee or one ice cream a week. Then I would start to make better conscious decisions about when and where I eat
I am ready to turn 52 March 5 but I would like to seriously consider pursuing your profession Dr. Hyman. What initial steps do you suggest I take to enable this?
It is not about will power, it is all about chemistry! To curb sugar cravings: put 1/2 tsp of L-glutamine powder under your tongue and let melt (sells on amazon). Most ppl have Candida overgrowth and don't even know it. Candida feeds on sugar, it communicates with the brain via molecular pathways, saying: I am hungry now, give me some sugar! And so we feel a sugar craving (sugar, candy, ice cream, dairy, alcohol, chocolate, fruit, grains: bread, pizza, pasta, desserts). You have 2 choices: temporary relieve using L-glutamine powder or permanent relieve by decimating the numbers of Candida units which you do by water fast. I did 7 day water fast (no food, only water), which started by 3 days cutting down on foods, then the 7 days only water, and then 4 days refeeding. The refeeding phase is very important to do it right so it doesn't kill you. You need to start eating very slowly (1/2 cup broth with veggies should take 30 minutes to chew and finish), small quantities cooked veggies, heavier food (eggs, meat, fish on day 3). You really should read up on the whole process to do it right so you don't harm yourself. I watched many videos and read many blogs. I would say the refeeding phase is the most difficult, I wanted to eat everything and a lot of it, I could have eaten half the fridge! If you do, you will kill yourself. After the fast is over, do Paleo or Keto diet to avoid carbs. You can still have yogurt (coconut), chocolate (home made with stevia sweetener), bread/pizza/pasta made from coconut and almond flours.
I would stay away from sugar alcohols, as they cause digestive issues for a lot of people (bloating, gas, diarrhea). Opt for monkfruit sweetener or allulose if you need a sweetener. There is no aftertaste with those either and you can use them as you would sugar. “Wholesome Yum” has a monkfruit allulose granulated sugar blend that works great for me.
Sugar is detrimental to your gut bacteria which creates the majority of the serotonin in you and thus dictates your mood. It also affects other hormones in your brain. I think it is dopamine if I remember correctly..
It just takes time to change the way we eat. Sugar is highly addictive. It took me 4 years to ditch it and still I have to take care about the amount of maple syrup or honey I eat because sugar is sugar is sugar
I simply cannot give sugar it’s the worst. I’ve given up alcohol as a heavy drinker for 10 months not had a drop but the sugar that i gave up at the same time but I fail over and over. I just cannot seem to do it. 😢
Hi Helena. As a former childhood to young adult alcoholic, it's likely sugar is helping you as a crutch to replace the alcohol addiction of which you are freeing yourself from. If it were me I would focus on retraining my nervous system through things meditation, sound healing, breathing exercises to engage the vagus nerve, etc; while increasing my fat and protein intake to be the majority of my meals, animal foods would give the largest satiety while being the most bioavailable such as beef, eggs, butter, plain yogurt. Implementing those will help make you much stronger and eating protein and fatty meals and snacks (especially before going out into social situations) will help you naturally detox while decreasing your sugar urges in time and making it easier vs being a struggle. In time you will find you consume less sugar naturally and in time your resilience even when tempted will become stronger. The key to success will be not show up hungry (you have already filled up on animal fat and protein) and are self regulating yourself through soothing stress management. I always have stocked in my car and home ready to go pork rinds, jerky, coconut oil. And the stress management tools tuning forks, breathing exercises and if somewhere I can't deploy like driving, I pull off to a nearby spot and walk. If tense with someone I bring an image to mind to help me relax, slow my breathing and remind myself I don't need to respond or give an answer now and find a way to gracefully exit even if it's a "I'll consider that" or I need a think on that". Much love and healing to you!💗
The problem is not Sugar. The problem is "Sweet Fat", the combination of carb and fat and its impact. Dr Hyman omitted this from his interview with these two young men and as a result a great disservice is being done here.
A friend in South Africa adopted a baby who was born with AIDS ... he could not have ANY form of sugar ... if he did .. he wld get sick immediately....
Just need to note: We are NOT overpopulated. Lookup Lomberg’s work on this if you still think that myth is true. We have the largest population decrease in history and almost every country is in jeopardy of having their native and naturalized populations disappear. So please do not spread harmful and false information. It’s something we once thought, but the data is clear today.
So much of this podcast just seems so random...Keegan never really gets a chance to complete his story of transformation. Well intentioned podcast but all over the place.
Why doesn't anyone give people guidance on how to maintain your sugar habit while deterring its negative effects? You can have your cake and eat it too. But it takes some work. As a pastry chef, who eats dessert with every meal, I maintain lean body mass and good metabolic numbers by not eating between meals and engaging in a lot of exercise spread throughout the day--cardio and weights. After every meal I also take a 20 minute walk, which supposedly slows insulin release. Forgoing the pleasures of pastry and chocolates really isn't necessary.
I wish I could begin feeling good and avoid sugar but I think it is too late for me ; these guys are young and easy to fix , and besides they are able to go and see a great doctor like mark hyman . I am not a young person , and I am not famous like them so it is impossible for me to get to this doctor .
You don't need to see a doctor to start reducing your sugar intake. Look at the nutrition label of foods you eat and avoid foods with added sugars. It's never too late to take charge of your health. Wishing you much success!
I'm 61 and dropped sugar and processed food just several years ago. I lost a LOT of weight. I've now gone whole food plant based and lost more weight. It's never too late. Just do it. There is no doubt sugar is an addictive drug. I only use a bit of stevia drops in my morning tea, otherwise I don't use any sugar substitutes either. They taste like chemicals once you get off all the crap.
It's never too late as long as you are alive and eat 😉. Dr. Hyman, Dr. Perlmutter, and Dr. Daniel Amen, all have written great books that will guide and inspire you. Check the library and eBay for inexpensive reading. Remember that eating organic and healthy is much less expensive than being sick! Eat well and engage in life. You are worth it!!
Oh ohhh Dr. Hyman is meeting up with politician perhaps in near future not only people with a good paycheck be able to afford real nutritious food. Make farmer markets affordable for everyone!!:)
you fool, the sellers set their own damn prices, you do not mandate or dictate what prices retailers choose. This is not communist china, nothing is free, if you don't like the quality of your food, grow your own, find a workaround or IMPROVE YOUR INCOME. Its not everyone elses responsibility to provide for you.
