I don't use white primer because it usually dries a little tacky. I use grey and rust - they seem to dry about the same. It doesn't matter what color you use since it should not be visible through the finished paint coat. :-)
Hi I have some questions! 1. do you need to put the white oil paint all over the model if you've primed it with a white primer? 2. Do you wait for all the layers to dry (ie. the white before starting the dark gray/black), and spray with a sealer between each? please answer! thanks!!
I'm not sure what you mean by a vid on just painting a horse that would be different from this? This vid is the first in a planned series on painting a dapple grey from start to finish. :-)
Yes, unless you're lucky enough to have a dealer nearby. I order mine at avesstudio(dot)com. It is the Apoxie Sculpt, and I always get natural since the colored and white epoxies don't work as well.
@NuggetLuver4Ever im sorry but paying $13,000 for a PLASTIC horse and fake leather is totally UNREASONABLE you could buy a real horse and REAL TACK with that kind of money. i think its stupid to pay 56$ for a plastic horse and one has sold for 13,000$? thats worth more then my pony! Im sorry thats just stupid. thats my opinion, if you don't like it then i'm sorry but its not going to change, but paying 13,000$ for a PLASTIC horse is ridiculous!
