Do you use oil paints? I can't imagine acrylics lasting that long as you paint that intricate detail.

That is beautiful, ive been trying to paint an old Marx 1/6th scale horse to show a Civil war saddle i scratch built. Iam not trying anything as intricate as yours but so far ive stripped the model back five times and am now considering something much plainer. I just cant get anything close using acrylics. Really did want a dapple grey but iam nearing defeat LOL.

Use a makeup or smooth sponge to get rid of brush strokes. Great for stablemates, too.

You are so talented, I am very impressed. Do you ever work with water-mixable oils? I tend to like those better because of the simple clean-up, but I don't know if the mediums you use would be compatible. Thanks for sharing this!
