@@NachoCustomz Thanks, Is it ok to use other plastic primer besides the mtn one? I got the mtn 94 paint and sealer. Also where do you get your scroll wheel rings. They add such a dope touch. Specially on the RVU.

@@8bitsamurai6 yes it’s ok to use another. Some aren’t as strong. And Amazon look up silicone rings size 8.5

@@NachoCustomz man i know this is over a year old but you have no idea how much struggle i've been through recently testing clear coats on my paint to find a good one. at first i thought it was a paint issue, not a topcoat issue, so i commented on your insta about a week ago troubleshooting, but this just saved me. thank you brother

@@NachoCustomz Gonna let it dry and put it back together around noon tomorrow. It might not be IG-worthy, I drilled hole in it to make it lighter. But I will def take a pic and you can decide for yourself haha. It's np, I am sure many people would rather pay extra for the proven reliable brand vs something that won't work out very well in the long run. I will get back to you with a pic tomorrow

@@NachoCustomz I painted a Xbone controller (drying) and 2 Joycons (also drying), the Xbox controller is turning out very nice, which is expected cuz I didn't drill holes in it. I would recommend masking tape/ painters tape over duct tape, masking tape is easier to cut and peels off easily when done

Hahaha thank you! Start out with a cheap office dell mouse. Till you get the results you want. As far as brands it’s preference. I can only vouch for montana

Hey i did a few practice runs today on some plastic things i have, apart from a few mistakes which i know what i did wrong (didn't wipe it properly before and touched it and left a finger print haha) Looks nice and even i.imgur.com/ubl2YFE.jpg this was my first try. The clear coat you used is expensive ($50 AUD for a can vs the $14 AUD for the MTN paint) and i didn't want to waste it while im learning how to do it so i just bought some cheaper gloss clear coat which still works and looks great. only thing is it gets scratched insanely easily. does this mean it isn't properly dry or the clear coat i used ? this was painted about 12 hours ago and my finger nail quite easily scratches it. www.bunnings.com.au/dulux-325g-duramax-gloss-clear-spray-paint_p1400718 This is the clearcoat i used. Appreciate any help.

Marzoh I use MTN. You could possibly be spraying from too far which causes the bumps

they arent stickers, they cover the base color and once you remove it its just another layer of paint :)

You can sand it with 1000 grit and use spraymax 2k clear

I recommend Montana primer , but for the color you can use what you want :) and i think the rust primer would be good too

thank you so much! and i didnt mask them off. the plastic primer is clear and i only did 2 coats. i guess it depends how heavy you put the paint on. sometimes it will shine through :)

I’d try spraymax 2k. The one I used in the video. Make sure to wear a respirator
