I thank you for all of your videos and the tutorials. I think it's amazing how you provide free sketches for us who aren't confident in our drawing skills ( me ). This helps so much with the stress of "ruining " a painting because of the drawing and then trying to learn to watercolor on top of that is so stressful and that is the last thing we should be stressed about. Art is to help us relax. Since watching your channel I have become more confident in my skills and relax a bit more and realizing it's just paper and a tiny bit of paint and if you "mess up" or it doesn't turn pur the way you intended who cares. I know that sounds stupid but I think we make our supplies precious and save them for when we're good enough to use them and we may never feel we're good enough so just use your supplies regardless of price you bought them to use and not sit around collecting dust. Have a great day
That's so kind of you Danielle and I really appreciate your kind words. What you say makes perfect sense, and we all tend to do that. But since starting the channel I have tried to leave that attitude behind and enjoy trying out new materials and supplies as well as new ideas. If not now, then when, don't you think? Happy painting!
My 103 th.The wax resistance methode really works, nice texture and fast.some live in a picture makes it more attractive and who can resist a rabbit ( or all the other animals; cheep, birds cows butterflies etc). Thanks again and to keep up I have to watch another video today ( with pleasure of course😊 ) Have a nice day. 😊Wim
Diane~ Thank you so much for sharing a new (to me) idea using the wax resist to create birch trees. Here in Wyoming, we have gorgeous aspen trees and this technique works beautifully in painting them. I used your night sky bookmark ideas with the wax resist to make some winter aspen tree bookmarks. I will gift these bookmarks, along with others to cancer patients, thereby sharing your generous spirit with them. I so appreciate you. Stay well and Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Hi Diane .This is my first correspondence with you and I absolutely love being a patreon .Your subject matter, voice, and steady instruction is perfect for this beginning painter. I tried the above painting which was way above my skill level but great practice. Thanks for adding so much to my day.
Wow! I love this! Another simple but beautiful painting! I feel like adding some white glitter on to make the snow glisten, just like how some Xmas cards come ❄️ Thanks Diane I really enjoyed watching, brilliant idea using wax candle!
Simply beautiful! You absolutely amaze me. In mere seconds, you've sketched and painted a bunny that is absolutely exquisite. For the life of me, I would still be staring at the blank space trying to figure out where to even begin without a reference or something to follow. Thank you for sharing your masterful talent with all of us! 👩🦳🐈🖌️
Fabulous, thank you so much, Diane!!! I've been doing some small wc paintings of sunsets behind bare trees which is reminiscent of a view from our kitchen window in my beloved childhood home. The memory of the salmon colored sun visible through the trees in late fall and winter in the later afternoon, as 3 generations of family members gathered for a snack, still touches my heart. Your lovely video gives me some good ideas to try next, like the wax resist and adding a rabbit, squirrel, or maybe a few crows. Very best wishes to you, your family - including the animals, and everyone here!!! 💕🤗🎨🐾🍂🐓
Beautiful winter scene. You are a master at simplification, Diane. Thank you for sharing. In our neighbourhood the bunnies that don’t change into a white coat for winter are domestic rabbits set free by people who don’t want them any more. I hope this bunny will find warm shelter. ❤
Magical. Truly appreciate your talent. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing gift with us. Every creation is awesome and makes me smile when you finish...especially those with the little animals that you seem to paint as though they possess the sweet personalities. I can hardly wait to try this! Stay well.
Had to wait to put my turkey in so I could watch your video❤️ I am thankful for you(& your family) Miss Diane. You bring such joy to me. I always say your hands are my favorite to watch. They create amazing works of art. Ty for all you do 🎨😍 much love from Buffalo NY usa 🐃
What sometimes seem like it will be simple and somewhat plain, turns out to be absolutely stunning. I love the wax resist technique and I agree with you that the masking fluid is much harsher and hard to work with. You are a true artist Diane and I love all of your paintings. thank you for sharing this special little picture with us.
This one just has to be one of my all time favorites of yours Diane. I love the use of the candle wax. You showed us the way, this is stunning. A beautiful winter scene indeed. You are amazing. Thank you for teaching us how to use the tools in our ever growing tool boxes. Tomorrow will be my get busy and get back to painting for me day. It does the mind so good. With our US week of showing gratitude, I thank you so much for every brush stroke you have ever taught me.
I have just found you. And I want to tell you how much I appreciate what you do. You are great fun to watch, you make me smile and laugh. I absolutely love your videos, I want to say thank you so much and I will donate as much as I can when I can. I have ALOT of painting to do thanks to you :)
I appreciate your videos so much. The way you teach is very easy for me to understand and replicate and most importantly (imho) I have fun even if it doesn't turn out how I wanted. It is relaxing and just feel good
That was so much fun. Wax resist was fun to experiment with and using the black watercolor pencil - brilliant. My bunny, which i didn't think i would do, I did and am happy with it. thank you.
Diane this is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to do it, frame it, then add to my Wintery/Christmasy pictures that I bring out each year. Thank you so very much!
I love this painting!! Your Bockingford paper is the same that a UK based wildlife artist has used for years and this includes his commissioned work. That is all I need to hear for me to buy a block of this paper! I can't wait to paint sometime similar to your cute forest scene.
@@DianeAntoneStudio It snowed quite a bit over the past two weeks, then this week we have been enjoying a Chinook, which has melted away most of the snow and ice. On Sunday, however, we are scheduled to have some more snow. 🙂
Well, I've enjoyed ur talent, the sounds of your rooster....and I TRIED to follow along with you, BUT...now I'm going to go BURN MY PAINTING!!!! THANK U FOR SHARING!!
Es ist eine sehr gute Idee mit dem Wachs, danke das sie es mit uns teilen. Ihr arbeiten haben immer zauberhafte Motive die man unbedingt nach machen möchte.💐🍷
Great new technique to try!!! I am in a Christmas card frenzy right now and think I'll try this without the rabbit with a message where he is. This is lovely.❤️
I am so happy I tried this it was really enjoyable and for my first ever landscape it didn’t turn out too bad. I’m going to do it again lol in fact there might be multiples 😂learnt so much. You’re teaching us all to really think outside the box. I would never have thought of those colours 🥰🤩👏👏👏
What a gorgeous winter scene. Thank you Diane, for your incredible talent and inspiration. I’m off to dig out some candles to try this. Have a wonderful day.😁🙏
@@DianeAntoneStudio Dianei painted along with you. It came out pretty good. I'm 89 years old .and still painting. I at one time painted in Acrylic, now I'm hooked on Loose Watercolor. You are a excellent teacher. Thanks 😍
This is wonderful. I am sure I will try this!!! Thank you for the candle for wax resist idea. I was wondering myself about masking fluid but I love this organic look!! Sweet bunny too❤️👍
@@DianeAntoneStudio I received my gorgeous Otter print today. I absolutely love it! Thank you so much! And for the lovely gift tag and note made my day. You bring light and happiness into my life and into many others, I am sure!
Wow! I learned a few new things from you today - the wax resist being an "ah ha" moment for me. Thank you so much. I left something in your tip jar, being on an elder budget.
Aww its beautiful.. Oh wow using a pencil too 😃 What a great idea..forgive me, takes me awhile to catch on lol. Mixing the different mediums isn't new but I love it with this Di its so effective. Thanku so much 🥰 Ps u could also use water colour pencil too
I know that method. I have used it since before she was born! 😂😂😂😂😂 I learnt it direct from Ron Ranson when he popularised the method in the last century 😁
