Completed this metallic/gold teacup and saucer study. I used this study to do 2 things, 1. Don't rush and 2. Painting gold without using metallic colours with PanPastels. I was very conscious to take my time and not to rush, so I did just that, I’m an impatient person and really struggle with trying to hold back from finishing artwork quickly. I used PanPastels and Pastel Pencils for details on Pastelmat. The PanPastel colours used are Raw Umber Group, Yellow Ochre Group, Orange Group with Turquoise group for the background.
Thank you for this video. I have PanPastels and what you created is amazing. I am going to play with creating gold and use your video as a much needed aid!👍🏽
G'day Nanamoon, thank you so much for watching and by all means have a go. I enjoy painting Metal without using metallic colours. It's all about the reflection.

Your so funny Yris, this was a little study to see how you can make gold without using metallic colours. I think it came out alright. Thank you for being around:)
Hey Mythril, thank you so much watching, this took me quite a while to get it looking like a reflection, and to think I didn't use any metallic colours. Happy Painting:)
Hey Sami thank you so much for watching and you are always welcome to join in on the Live Streams. Look forward to seeing you in the next one if you can👍😍
HI Bobbie, thank you for watching. I use various pastel pencils, for Carbothello, Pitt Pastel, Conte, Bruynzeel, Derwent. I like them all for different reasons.
Hey there Joy thank you so much for watching. Hopefully it was helpful. I clean my brushes with "Incredible Brush Cleaner" by Chroma, it even gets the stains out of clothes too.😘👍
Hey Kim thank you for your question, @Lynn L is correct, I use Ecotools, they are a terrific tool to use which work great on Pastelmat paper and Pastelmat board. Kim, thank you for watching the teacup was fun to paint ( I learned a lot).
