Hey Heidi, glad to be of assistance, so funny👍😂so glad that you're saving money cause I'm not 😂😂😂😂😂😂 all jokes aside, Pastelmat is worth it. Thanks for watching and always appreciate your support and kindness.
Hi Michelle thank you so much for watching and your kind words. My only advice is don't give up, no matter what and enjoy your art journey and progess.
I would like to read about your experiences with Colourfix Smooth by Art Spectrum and/or would be happy to answer any questions about the painting or the supplies I use in my art journey.

So beautiful painting again! Oh I wish I would find time to do more art. Been so busy. So little time, so much art, yes! Definitely! But I love to come here and watch you paint. :)
Thank you so much Anne, I'm like you I have a day job, which takes so much energy out of me, so I'm always stealing time here and there to art. I have sooo many projects that I want to do and still can't get to them "So much art, so little time" and yes that little saying I think applies to you too! Just trying out a few little experiments with different papers for the techniques I use now with PanPastels and wanted to prove a point that you can use these for more than just backgrounds and base layers. Pastelmat is one of the best papers I've ever worked on! hands down! but then there's UART too! Thank you for watching, I have one last little flower painting and then I'll get to my fantasy surreal work! love my fantasy surreal themes!! I enjoy painting those the most!!
Oh Anne forgot to mention, there was another video before this one, honestly I didn't use any pastel pencil at all, it's incredible what you can do with these pans!!

Yeah, that video is on my "I must watch this later"-list :D So beautiful painting! And yes, these are for so much more than just for backgrounds. My first pastel painting was that dragonfly and I used almost only Pan pastels for that one. Only the sharp details here and there were done with Colored pencils. Since I didn't have pastel pencils or pastel sticks then.

You know how I feel then :D I still have that Derwent Lightfast pencils to try out the first time. I'm planning to do a kind of review video from those, but I just need to find time. I have that art exhibition starting soon (Friday is the opening) and also I have this new man in my life I want to spend time with. :D And also some quite artistic work stuff I need to do, but can't share those online so there is that too. I wish we would have more hours in days
I just found your channel and subscribed so fast I think I sprained my finger! I'm just getting into pastels, coming from colored pencil work (mostly portraits). I honestly don't know if this would work with pastels, esp pan pastels, but I've been using a product by Alyona Nickelsen's company 'Brush and Pencil' called textured fixative spray. it fixes the previous layers and lays down some tooth, so you can go over it as often as you want. maybe worth a try? thanks for the videos, and especially the honesty in showing what works and what doesn't- though I really like this myself!
Wow, Katherine another wonderful comment. I know Alyona Nickelsen's products and am fortunate to have quite a few of her products. Never thought to use the Textured Fixative" because I don't use fixative at all, I'm yet to find one that won't discolour the pastel, but hey it's worth a try, I say go for it and please report back. My whole aim with these videos is to give some value, even if I stuff up, which by the way happens on my LiveStreams when I'm trying new products or techniques. So embarrassing sometimes, and funny too, but I try to keep it real, I'm not perfect and I make many goof ups, but the best thing is I love doing all things art.
Bonnie thank you for your comment, I don't think I've ever heard too many positive things about this paper and I can see why, it gave me so much trouble.
