Haha I know the feeling. The whole year you are planning: "this holiday I will paint my 24 orcs, a troll and my Nazgul on fellbeast". And then at the last day of the holiday you realized that you only finished 12 orcs. But you still did an impresive job!
Man how can a BattleCamper video not put a smile on my face.. Just a man travelling with his dog buddy, doont the hobby he loves at the most inspiring and awesome places.. Your content is just amazing sir 👏👏
Absolutely loved this. As ever, your mix of comedy, insight and genuine talent with a brush impresses at every corner. But the drama with Kiwi’s cough, the frolicking in the pool and way you imaginatively tied your locations back to Bretonnia and the old world were particularly enjoyable highlights. These journey vlogs are always worth the wait.
Great video! In case you decide to take your camper to a muddy place again, there are skid plates that you can purchase that can help in this situation. Basically, heavy plastic plates with texture that you can slip under the corner of your wheels. Then if you are at least able to spin your wheels there should be enough purchase for the wheel to move onto the plate and it will create a sturdy platform over the obstacle. Very handy if you’re stuck in the mud and don’t have kindly locals nearby!
Phenomenal video, enjoyed the vlog aspect, loved the Bretonnian/Wood Elf lore and the great views were wonderful too. I'm also impressed with your standard of painting and the freehand despite being on the road. The spillage of the green hurt me deeply to my core...
@@BattleCamperHome similar aim to yourself, around Toulouse, maybe head into andora. Carcassonne and the first castle you visited have definitely been added to the list though 😅 although my dogs not as well behaved as kiwi
Such a fantastic video, slightly criminal that it doesn’t have more views and you more subscribers. Myself and the family did an 18 day trip in our van last summer, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium. We didn’t get to visit quite as many castles, but Mont-Saint-Michel and Vianden were extremely Warhammer. …my dog likes to roll in cow poo as well, when he’s not eating it that is.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it. Mont-Saint-Michel looks beautiful. I went as a child but didn't appreciate it. A return is definitely on the bucket list! My sympathies regarding your dog.... its a nightmare that never gets easier.
Great to have you back uploading. Awesome trip, great work on the painting, and the Kiwi-cam is sensational! Music choices were inspired, looking forward to the next upload.
Amazing video! Got everything that you could ever need. High drama with paint, dogs, cleaning shit off dog, week old pizza, explosive diarrhoea, castles, streams and even snow!
This was a great video, some of the natural scenery reminds me of my trips to Colorado (miss those trips). As a dog “owner”, I already knew you were getting the Kong toy 😂. Thanks again for this video, it was great to watch while I slowly build my Bretonnian army.
Thanks so much Brian! I think it was my fave to make. Although it took far too long haha. I'd love to go to Colorado! It looks so beautiful! Hope the Bretonnians are coming on well?
@@BattleCamperHome You're welcome. Aye well I have only ever been once but the landscape and countryside is lovely plus all the castles are very cool as well. Also curious question, while you were out hiking did you come across any reptiles? How did Ki react to them? I love reptiles and when I was in France I found a Legless Lizard which was awesome. 🤠
@48:30 wow that's an incredible shot, lovely framing and background, pretty flowers in the foreground, that could be an epic battlecamper still! @48:32 ah ruined by a dogs' arse
What a fabulous video, we just discovered your channel this morning and what breath of fresh air. Have you ever visited thr Brocéliande forrest? Fabulous place, full of fables, fantasy and arthurian legend. We live not far from it. You may also be interested in taking a look at a book called Montaillou. It tells you about the people in the Pyrenees and Carcassonne during the Cathar inquisition. Absolutely fascinating book.
Thanks so much for the kind words and the recommendation! I've never visited Broceliande but desperately want to come back to France so I'll put it on the list!
