Should have included a close, low angle view of what each step looks like when finished. That's what most people will have anxiety about. What does satin look like? Gloss? Takes about 3 days in good weather and about 5 if you have to remove the old coat and then start the steps. Or you can pay about $1600.00 for it to be done professionally. Not as hard as you think, just a little work.
I came really close to doing this myself, long story short, hire a pro. If you don't diamond grind the floor, it won't even last more than about 2-3 years and you'll have the floor chipping up under the tires. If you rented a diamond grinder this system would last, I think. I would have been at around 800-900 if I did on my own. I hired it out for 1900. Looks amazing.
Why can you not put clear grip into the gloss when you have put flakes on? This is causing me a lot of trouble because I can't figure out what to buy since nobody can answer this. My parents are getting older and I need to have some type of anti-skid on the gloss to make sure they do not slip in the winter (or when it rains), but I'd also like to have the flakes to make the garage floor look more professional. Any help would be much appreciated!
1. put the base color coat down and sprinkle the flakes in. Let it dry and lightly brush/blow off excess flakes. 2. Apply the clear coat and immediately sprinkle in the grip aggregate and run the roller over the wet clear with the grip aggregate. This will embed the aggregate into the clear coating and stop it from lifting out under normal use. Mae sure the particles are about 1/2 - 1" apart. To much will make it hard to clean.
I noticed the label on seal krete says 72 hours after painting. Is it ok to out on sealer after 24 hours as stated at the end of this video? Thank you.
Mine began peeling after about a week. The paint is slowly coming up either in large flakes or in small areas of a large amount of tiny flakes raisin up which can easily be swept off. The floor is not looking so good after a week of prepping and painting.I am afraid this is going to continue and I will have to do a messy job of stripping all the paint and re-coating it with something else. I'm just disappointed.
Weird, I thought this was about Epoxy-Seal. It just seems like a 7-minute advertisement for 10 other Seal-Krete products. Next time, give us a 30-second video on the product we are interested in.
I was thinking the same thing. He seems to be using a lot of unnecessary stuff, but didn't use a diamond grinder that I've seen others say you need to use. All the other videos said sweep the floor, wash it, let it dry, apply a coat, let it dry, apply a second coat and done! Pretty simple! Watching this video and I'm like dang I'm going to spend $400 buying 5 different chemicals for just a garage floor?!
Was interested in buying this to do it for my room... until I saw this vid. Then I read all the comments by users. Moral of the story: Take a man who paints and does manual labour in a long sleeved shirt and pants, with a pinch of salt. LOL.
This product goes overboard by a country mile compared to so many easier garage floor restoration methods. This guy is like "If there were more than 400 drops of rain that day, or your spaghetti noodles don't stick to the floor correctly, it's not going to work right." And there's the suggestion that you buy more shit from the same company before you even open up the box of the shit your bought, and then are advised to buy more shit after you're done. And did he seriously say there was nanotechnology in their product? We're talking about a garage floor, right?

You don’t have to buy all this stuff.....he’s just trying to sell it. You just need to clean it.... seal cracks and apply A and B together. Let it dry 24 to 48 hours.
If your just going with the attitude of who cares i got paid.then walk away,sure that works.but if you guarantee your work.when it starts to peel off in weeks to a month and you back your work.you will have some pissed off customers and lose clients.or spend hours of free labor fixing it. Prep is the biggest part of any paint job.if you dont know that.your finished product will definitely show it.
I painted my driveway with the same brand 2 weeks ago, followed everything step by step and 2 weeks later the paint is peeling off, this is a joke, don't waste your money in this, better to use some kind of acid stain that will bond better to the concrete and some clear coat or sealer after, but this seal krete epoxy seal is nothing but a joke. I will never buy this product again.

Come back to the real world mr fairytale. What working person has a month to not only apply this crap but empty out their garage for a month? I bet you watch hgtv and show people how easily to flip a house but we all need a 40 person crew. FAIL PRODUCT
