Wow! Thank you a lot for the video. I have had the Viper system in my 2014 Passat for 6 years now, and the 1-way remote (like one in the video) started acting up (sometimes it worked, sometimes, it didn't). I went to the guys that did the initial installation, and they tried pairing up two different remotes but failed. Well, they do it all the time, so I was like, it's probably the car and not the process. Turns out that: 1) they didn't do the 5 second rule, and 2) they did it with the door opened. I then bought a replacement fob from Amazon and just tried to program it myself, and on the first try, I did it with the door opened. The light on the new fob wouldn't turn solid while pairing. I then did it exactly like in the video, and it worked perfectly. Thanks again! 😊

My remote and starter module on my Accord un-paired somehow. Just wasn't working one day. Called Viper for help, and they emailed instructions on how to re-connect. Didn't work after over 20 attempts using their instructions. Turns out their instructions were wrong! Found your video...worked first time super easy! Thank you!

This got me so close. I was doing this all in the winter here at 30 degrees. I had the door closed and it never worked. Door has to be open also and it goes right into pairing mode. Thanks for video

Hey man, nice video, it is hard to find anything on these things... I have 7816 two way remote finally paired but the LED on the remote gives off 2 red beeps. I can't find anything on them as to why it is doing that? I did drop in a cr2032 3 v instead of the two cr2106 3 v batteries. I am suspecting thats the low battery alert?

Hi. I need to program a replacement remote. But I don’t have any button on my window antenna like you do! However, I do have a small (2”x3”) black box under the driver side dash board (under the steering wheel). That black box has an led light and a small push button on the side of it. Is that what I’m looking for in my car? And is it basically the same exact procedure as what you did in this video? Or a different procedure? I have an (older) viper car starter system with the same looking 2-way remote that you have in this video. It’s for an older Honda accord. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Hello. Great vid. I have the ds4+ and a directed t harness. Installed and was able to pair with my viper iphone app. Unable to start though. Vehicle locks/unlocks. I been hearing the ds4+ needs to be flashed for what vehicle it is in?

Hey, I'm trying to pair a 4 button 7857V remote to my DS4 and it flashes and beeps like its paired but the remote doesn't work. Only my factory key fob works, but the commands I send are confirmed on the viper remote with the green LED and beeps. I just cannot send any commands from the viper remote, it beeps negatively and flashes red if I try. I was assured from multiple sources that this remote will work with the DS4 to give me 2 way functionality, do you know what might be wrong?

Just got my father this system for father's day, and have it in my own car already. This process works perfectly in _my_ car, as described in the app when pairing a phone, but in my dad's car it refuses to go into pairing mode. I have used your video in the past to resync my remote starter and it has worked. But now I'm having trouble because when you press the viper remote three times I don't hear the same beeping as I heard in the past. It has a new battery in it. Any ideas for why it will not beep or turn orange?

How do you get it to use the oem alarm. When I use the oem remote it works but when I use the viper remote there is no lock sound to help confirm.

I love viper but one area Compustar crushes them at is remote pairing. Any remote start made in the last decades programs with 5 ing pulses and done. Need to program a viper? Drop the dash and see what brain it is, pray it has a valet button. Play code breaker and try to find out what number the “X” is the is. Every viper alarm, keyless, remote start, remote start alarm programs different even model to model. Hop on one leg, rub you stomach and pat your head while turning the ignition switch, hit the button 5 times, hold the remote button for 5.73 seconds let go and within 3 seconds hold another button. Let go press a third button, solve world hunger and hope it doesn’t lose programming next week. Tighten up viper. .
