In this video I tell you what to say to pass the LanguageCert C2 speaking exam in English. Lots of great tips for the exam. For candidates at C2 level in English.
Hi David! Just got my results, 46/50. That's a high pass! I’m so happy! Thanks a million for this video, I watched it a few times before taking the exam and it was such a huge help to familiarise myself with the test format. I'm sure other candidates will benefit from it too. THANK YOU 😉
I failed my exam and I do not know why.. Hope I can pass the exam next time.. I am now very nervous because I do not know which my mistakes were. Thank you for the video. It is very useful.
Dear David, thanks to your valuable advice in the C1 exam video, I managed to get 50/50 in my C2 oral exam!! I am very happy with the result and I never thought I would get such a rewarding grade! Thank you very much All the best Giulia
That is fantastic news Giulia, well done ! Please help me a little bit and ask you friends to watch my videos too ! Good luck in the future with your English ! David
Hello David. Your video comes just at the right moment, as I have my C2 speaking tomorrow. Thanks for the useful tips and explanations, they'll definitely come in handy!
Hi Mattia, I am sorry for my late reply but I am very glad that my tips were helpful. Please let me know how you did in the exam when you get the results. David
Hello David, I decided to take my C2 exams. I didn't really study anything since I'm comfortable with my English, but your tips were very useful, thank you! I got High Pass in both exams.
That is outstanding and I am very pleased for you! Please tell your friends and family about my channel and ask them to watch and subscribe! Thanks, David
Dear David, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart..your videos are helping me dealing with the C1 exams and your relaxing attitude make things so much better to understand. I wish you the best, hoping you're doing well.
Thank you very much for your kind comments Tiziana. Yes, please tell as many of your friends as possible about my RU-vid channel. It makes it worthwhile when people write to me like you have. Best wishes, David
@@The-English-Professor many other friends of mine need your advice and I told them to watch your videos 👍 Ps. I keep on using the adjective *gargantuan* in my conversations 😃
Hello everybody, this is the link to this practice paper on the LangaugeCert website: www.languagecert.org/en/language-exams/english/languagecert-international-esol/c2-mastery-2285#spoken . Good luck with your exams, David
Hi David! Your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you so much for these. One question though. Is it alright to have filler (such as uh, uhm, etc) while speaking?
Thanks for your comment and question. It is completely normal in everyday speech to use "fillers" such as ahh, um, etc However, at times they can be too frequent. So it is a matter of balance - yes you can use them but try not to overuse them. David
Hi Iris, I am afraid I haven't made a C2 level video yet, it is on my 'to do' list though. May I ask where you are from? Your name sounds French but I am not sure ! David
@@The-English-Professor yes, sure. Where I am from is actually a long story… I was born in Ethiopia, and I m half Italian. I have lived in Italy for several decades. Iris is Italian, a flower, symbol of Florence, which is quite close to where I live.
Thanks for your feedback and to some extent you are correct. However, the content of the simulation, as you put it, is in fact the information containing the tips on sample questions and activities. I cover other tips in previous videos such as the B2 level video. I hope you appreciate that I do not want to teach people at C2 level how to "suck eggs" !
You can appeal but it might not help. Try to get somebody to assess your English and identify your mistakes. Then take the exam again. Good luck, David
Dear David, I have a query about this certification: in what does it differ from the Cambridge Proficiency exam in terms of prestige and expendability on the job market or for any university career?
Well a specified pass level at B2, C1 or C2 should be equal no matter which organisation administers the exam and certification. Prestige wise you need to assess for yourself. Check what any university you are interested in deems acceptable. Good luck, David
