How to Plant Hydroponic Bare Root Strawberries

Only one suggestion- you should have tipped up one of the lids for your older strawberries to show off the magnificent roots you’ve achieved with your technique! 🌻

Try hand picked nursery for bare roots. You will be very happy.

Why do you need a net cup at all? Could you not skip the netcup and put the plant in the clonecollar (or pool noodle) and put that into the holes of the lid?

What nutrients do u like to use for your strawberries?

Hey Keith- I’m stuck on what will be best for my variety I chose- I need your recommendations and links for a bucket or bin set up that would work for my Park Seed Seascape Strawberry bare roots arriving end of this month. For each bare root- The mature plant will be 12’ tall by 24” wide and produce strawberries about 6 months out of the year. I will have 4 of those plants growing indoors. Thanks for the other links you posted- I now need the bins or DWC buckets you recommend and an air stone for each that you think will be powerful enough and any other needed links for this variety. Thanks again for the excellent video and advice. I’m relying on your expertise since I’m brand new to indoor hydroponics.

Thanks for this! I ordered from the same place. Their video suggests leaving them in a jar for 3 days to ensure the plants are healthy, did you do that after cleaning? Do you think it makes a difference?
