Okay, I think you've convinced me. I painted the rims on my old TJ with rattlecan bedliner and was happy with it...Now I have a 16 JK and I think I'm gonna Plastidip this time. Eventually I'll buy black rims, but this will do for now. Thanks for the upload.

I did this on 3 different Jeep's... I can assure you it takes more than 3 cans to do it right.

1st coat is meant to be light tom, 2nd and 3rd go heavy like you like your girls. Good vids tho, keep it up breh

If you ever do this again, Use little white note cards and place them around the wheel between the tire. It eliminates the excess spray and the frustrating peeling process if theres not a good amount coated on it to peel off in one go around. If done right, it should look like a dog in a funnel cone to prevent the dog from licking itself. lol. I did it this way the first time. I did the note card the second day and finished all four tires literally half the time because i wasnt on my ass rubbing the tire to peel it off.

The amount of time you used to tape every lug nut could have been used to remove and reinstall the wheel. That would let you rotate the wheel so the can would not have to used upside down. But that is all relative to your skill set though. Looks black 👍

Not too shabby man! For what it's worth it's highly recommended to use a can per wheel... I did a wrangler a few months back and used 5 full! Reason is it will peel in one piece and last longer! And the reason it didn't want to peel off the tire is because there wasn't enough product to peel! Message me if you need any advice but looks like you got the nice end result!

I always do 8 coats. You want a thick layer on top of the wheels to repel road particles. You’ll also want to redo it every three years or so and if the layer is too thin, it’ll be a real pain to take off.

You can't spray airsol cans upside down.

You think you would at least look up proper spray painting techniques and know that your first coat is your "dusting" coat and not the second and third coats.

I want to do mine the same color as my jeep which is desert sand..I'm worried about the overspray on the tires. You can get away with black overspray on the black tires but a desert sand won't be as forgiving
