Who would I like to see? "Nooooo-ooonnne hits like Gaston/ No-one crits like Gaston/ No-one gives all his enemies fits like Gaston/ His effect on DMs is infuriating/ I wanna play as Gaston!"
Tfw I could hear most of the Palpatine quotes from the clips playing in the background without actual sound or even subtitles. "The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural." Great job with this one!
I got it, your making all of these characters for one really weird dnd game where all the universes of all pop culture and media of all sources are fused into one plane of existence. That's why you made this channel. When is session 0?
Storm Sorcery and Hexblade are two of my favorite subclasses and they mesh beautifully to successfully create The Senate himself, another phenomenal job Tulok!! Also “Out the Windu” made me want to congratulate you with a firm handshake and throw myself out a Windu at the same time. Well done.
I'm going to guess before I watch. Either 12 or 16 levels in storm sorcerer with the rest in either Hexblade or college of whispers bard. Edit:OFF BY ONE LEVEL, DAMMIT.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 It helps that Storm Sorcerer is flawless for him and what are you doing if your sith/jedi aren't a Hexblade or eldritch knight? You're doing it wrong is what you're doing. I only threw in the college whispers in case you wanted to focus even more on the politics side of Palps.
Thank you for covering our friend Palpatine, may i suggest doing our pal Friendpatine in the future? P.S: the "UNLIMITED POWEEEEERRRR!!1!" thing would work at my table as well.
Friendpatine is a level 1 Order cleric, then some combination of Sorcerer and Warlock. This is because Friendpatine is all about casting buffs on allies, and encouraging them to "Do eet!" with a reaction attack every time he casts a spell of 1st level or higher on an ally. I highly recommend Polymorphing allies into T-Rexes with free immediate attacks. It may not seem very Star Wars-y, but this is Friendpatine, who has traveled a pathway to many abilities some consider to be non-canon.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 YESSSSS JOHN CONSTANTINE MAH MAN! Third favourit- no, fourth favourite Vertigo character. (First being Lucifer, then Dream or Death in second and third place)
Weekly Build Request: I just finished watching the first five episodes of Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal and would love to see a character build for Spear (The Caveman) and Fang (The T-Rex). After watching the show I have a sudden urge to ride a T-Rex into battle.
When I used to play cleric for a year , I really enjoyed summon sword. All my friends took epic levels , but instead of taking epic levels I asked to have options for all my spell slots . So I literally had all the cleric spells as options , all I had to do is keep track of how many I had of each level. And I kept a printed book of all the cleric spells by my side. And I took the feature that let me go without spell components. I really was way more like a detective after that and teleportation taxi . I'd scry then teleport us directly to the bad guy if we found something owned by the boss man , then while scrying , I'd cast mass teleport , taking us directly to the boss. My murder junkie friends had a field day killing the bosses first then fighting their way out of the confused army.
I would love to see a build of All Might at some point in the future. Requirements being punching can cause a ranged shockwave attack and being useless if he's not in his buff state unless that's not possible.
Honestly Sorcerer seems like it might fit. Spells requiring somatic and verbal components can just be flavored as throwing a punch and calling out your attack name. I know Dragon Sorcerer can be surprising beefy because they get built in extra AC and HP. Maybe a dip in Warlock or Magical Initiate for Eldritch Blast so you have a constant supply of 'punches' that can get past enemy defenses against bludgeoning damage. And concentration could even be seen as holding onto your buff form for as long as you can if you take certain combat spell buffs like Enhance Ability or Haste.
i'd love to see a rwby build, one of the maidens hopefully. they both have elemental powers, with cinder primarily using fire, obviously, but they can use any element I'm pretty sure. raven made thunder boom in the distance, and she also had ice weapons, it's also important to remember that raven used a Kitana, (it was also almost like she had multiple kitana blades and one hilt that she plugged them into) but cinder sorta summoned her weapons, but preferred a bow.
even though I'd love to see a build for all 4 of our RWBY girls though, I don't know if there are scythes in dnd, but i wanna see it, and maybe she'd use a bow too? but she'd also have to be like, super fast. weiss summons a lot of things, but I wanna know what you can do with the glyphs because those in it of itself are important aspects of her fighting style, yang and blake seem pretty simple, even though I'd love to see what blakes shadow clones look like.
Here's my wishlist and builds I would LOVE to see, in no particular order. If I put a star though, that's priority. Reg (Made in Abyss) Rowen Dragespear (Shadowverse)* HyunWoo (Black Survival) Eikichi Onizuka (GTO Great Teacher Onizuka) Tyler Durden (Fight Club)* Kunio/Alex (River City Ransom Series) Riki/Ryan (River City Ransom Series) Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho) Kazuma Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho) Gary Smith (Bully) Guzma (Pokémon) Team Skull Grunt (Pokémon) Rambo (Rambo) Marty (Saturday Morning RPG)* Kanji Tatsumi (Persona 4)* Scott Pilgrim (Scott Pilgrim vs The World) Momonga/Ainz Ooal Gown (Overlord) Shinjiro Aragaki (Persona 3) Russell Northrop (Bully) Dallas "Dally" Winston (The Outsiders) Yandere Chan (Yandere Simulator) SpeedWagon (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood) Jules Winnfield (Pulp Fiction)* Dante Alighieri (Dante's Inferno, The Divine Comedy)* Dante (Devil May Cry 4? The one with brown hair, lol) Michael Scofield (Prison Break) Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell (Prison Break) Snake (Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) Daryl Dixon (The Walking Dead) Cliff Booth (Once Upon A Time in Hollywood)* Ness (Earthbound, Mother)* Casey Jones (TMNT)* Connor Kenway (Assassin's Creed 3)* Joichiro Nishi (Gantz)* Ray (The Promised Neverland) Julius Belmont (Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow) Desmond Doss (Hacksaw Ridge) Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)* Jesus Christ (Bible, Christianity)* Shujinko (Mortal Kombat Unchained/Deception)* Soma Cruz (Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow)* Cicero (Skyrim)* Samwise "Sam" Gamgee (Lord of the Rings) Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck (Lord of the Rings) Jimmy Hopkins (Bully)
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 oof wow! I'm excited! I hope you dont mind me copy and pasting this list in all your videos to remind you *palpatine laugh* HEHEHEHEHACHHAHAHAHAH
Excellent job on the build and tie-lire as usual. The jokes were hilarious. Imagining the Emperor singing made me pause for a moment to catch my breath, and I was already low from the joke about rolling for stats.
I'm playing a Emperor Palpatine build right now coincidentally! I heavily considered V-Human Sor-Lock (the route Tulock obviously took here) but we already had both a Human and a Sorcerer and I ultimately decided against it. I ended up going with Githzerai for race and Tempest Cleric for Class/Sub-Class. [Racially] Getting an invisible Mage Hand, Shield 1/lr@ 3rd, Detect Thoughts 1/lr@5th, and +ADV. vs ST's vs Charm or Frighten worked out really well for my concept! DM let me take a home-brew Lightning damage version of Eldritch Blast at character creation which helped a lot. Took Booming Blade from Spell Sniper feat at level 4. Thunderwave & Shatter have been my go-to for leveled spells so far and I have a red-bladed rapier that I Booming Blade with when enemies are close and "Lightning" Blast for when they are ranged. (Sarcasm & Insults are my weapons of choice though.) Plan on re-flavoring Spirit Guardians + Spiritual Weapon combo in another level or so to have lightning blasting all around me. [not getting to change the damage type here though] Healing for me is Lightning acting as a defibrillator! Lol
Me: Hey, Palpatine, I’m thinking about rewatching and commenting on every single Tulok video, what do you think? Palpatine: Do it. #DecemberTulokRewatch
Soul Reaver Raziel Revenant soldier Warlock (GO1 for true commitment & talking w/o jaw, or hexblade to be ready for wraith blade) pact of blade. Beyond that I leave to your creative abilities tulok!
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I just wanted to join in the Prequel quotes, thank you for making this video. Now my buddy and I will be able to combine this with the Vader build and rule the Galaxy.
One build I would like to see is Jack Slate the main protagonist from the underrated action/shooter video game series Dead to Rights. Base info on Jack is he's a officer with Grant City Police Department who pretty much plays by his own vigilante-style rulebook it's revealed in the games that before becoming a cop he was a member of the Marine Corps and is good at hand-to-hand combat and is a master sharpshooter but Jack doesn't battle criminals alone by his side is his trusty canine partner the female wolf/malamute hybrid Shadow who is well-known amongst fans of the series for mostly turning unlucky criminals into her new chew toys on Jack's command.
Distant spell also turns melee spells into 30 foot range so shocking grasp now can be made from across the room. Also the feat elemental adept would be good to prevent damage resistance for lightning. In variants of this build I've used kensei monk to compensate a little. You'll need a sunblade it's dnd's literal lightsaber you can make it your pact weapon or you could go down the kensei road it counts as a longsword you would be slightly more dex dependant and that might be more of a Jedi build
I noticed at 8th Level Sorcerer, the +1 DEX ASI does literally nothing for you in terms of improving your AC because you're raising your DEX from 14 to 15, which remains at +2. If you're willing to leave your CON at +3 instead of +4, one feat that is definitely worth considering is the Dual Wielder feat. This gives you that +1 to AC you were looking for (making your total AC = 16 with Mage Armor, 17 or 18 if you decide to use Medium Armor) as well as allowing you to use TWF with long swords (which Palpatine regularly does in the Clone Wars series). Your final stats will look like this: STR 8, DEX 14, CON 17, INT 10, WIS 12, CHA 20 (Note, the odd number stems from using the Diplomat feat)
Episode 92 of the Fire Emblem stats: Sheev Palpatine. Palpatine is as dark as you'd expect a Sith master to be, with proficiencies in swords (lightsabers) and both types of magic (Force and Force lightning, baby). In addition, he has great authority since he's so evil that most people are drawn to him on instinct. He's offensively powerful on both ends and is surprisingly charming considering how grotesque he is, but he's slow and frail on both ends.
A fine addition to my collection! ...what do you mean you already did Grievous. I voted for Bowser cause he's one of my favorite characters so I hope he wins.
So two corrections I would make. First, subtle spell. He clearly uses no wild gestures or arcane words (somatic and verbal components) when manipulating emotions or altering minds so he should have the subtle spell meta magic. Second, Bard of whispers. Taking 3 levels of Bard would give you the trademark skill of weaving enchantment into a conversation and either make one target friendly to a target of choice, of fearful of one target of choice with a wisdom save with either success or failure going unnoticed by magical means. This is an old video so it's possible Zanathar's Guide hadn't come out at the time this video was made, if so ignore me.
I know it's hard to fit in there, but 3 levels into whisper bard would be so freaking perfect. Infecting minds with fear, and when the feelings and actions pass... the person just can't recall why they felt that way... It sucks that the shadow ability isn't really sidious...
You get 4 cantrips, I suggest Lightning Lure for a Ranged lightning attack. Also if your GM doesnt allow Diplomat you cant go wrong with elemental adept for lightning
Love your videos, one small thing. Ive noticed that when you mention the levitate spell you say that you can move what ever is levitating 20 ft. The spell in the book specifies that you can only move it up or down, and that if you want to move in any other direction you have to push off something. Just something to keep in mind.
This was a lot of fun as a build! I've made something similar, but I'm kicking myself for not considering Mass Suggestion as a capstone. In terms of recommendations, maybe do a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger build? Find a way to get the transformation sequence, the ability to boost your physical abilities while transformed, and summon a giant Zord!
I voted for bowser, because mystique is easy: Changeling from Eberron, rogue/monk. Would love to see a Gandalf the White build, his spell choices would be interesting
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Yeah. It's a giant horse man demon thing with a sword and clerical powers. I was trying to build him as a character and I got stuck on like everything.
Honestly I totally expected hexblade warlock, but I didnt expect sorcerer (i thought wizard with the bladesong or warcaster arcetype) still good build!
Love the build. I didn't do the math but I might replace one of the CON ASIs to the Tough feat if the CON score is 16 by the end. You can't win a 4.5 vs 1.5 battle if you can't take hits (Skywalker is the half on both sides).
Please do a fate series character, Chu Chulainn would be an interesting one, with fighter (normally), barbarian (warp-spasm) and some magic class (rune magic)
I rolled up my version of Minecraft Steve for a laugh. Wanted him to be able to "Mold the landscape, and use materials to create what he will". Ended up with a Fighter 2, Forge cleric 9, Circle of land druid 9. I'd like to see what your version would look like though.
You know I could never peg what class Ruby would be Yang Blake and Weiss are fairly easy to map out yang would be a barbarian/monk, Blake would be a rouge, and Weiss would best fit as a blade singer wizard but Ruby doesnt fall into a single class that well crescent rose would most likely be STR based as a scythe which whould already poses an issue. But then youd have a heavy crossbow. And youd have to figure out a way to incorporate her super speed(blurr or haste), gravity dust Rifle jumps(jump spell) oh and of course her silver eyes. So ruby would be an interesting character to make
@@Straven93 when I tried Ruby was the hardest of the team. I settled on Protection Aasmimar monster slayer/redemption paladin. So her wings are rose petals I suppose? Weiss I went Eldritch Knight/Shephard Druid. Blake was Tabaxi Way of Shadows monk and Inquisition rogue. Yang Sun Soul monk and Frenzied Berserker barbarian
@@randomim42 woukd EK be a better for weiss ironically going EK means she couldn't cast wall of ice since its 6th lvl spell that druids don't get and EK cant cast past 4th lvl.
